Just started watching your videos. this one is terrific about Bloody Ocean. I am a tweener and about 14 mph, very interested in ball. Bowl mostly on THS of about 41 ft. What drilling would you suggest I use when I get this ball. Thanks!

It’s incredibly strong, so, depending on what you’re looking for - it could vary. I would say maybe something a little weaker and longer. This ball is pretty nasty.

Randy H honestly, I don’t know how there isn’t multiples on the rack in leagues. It’s a stellar ball! People aren’t really aware it’s out there, and this is a extreme top tier performer.

Another great review!! Lane Masters is one of those balls you find about when someone crushes you in league with one! lol But the ball looks good in your hand. I'm curious to see how this ball would match up with a stroker's game. I know we spoke about Motiv through email before, but its still one of my most trusted pieces in my arsenal. Did you change the surface on the Phaze III? Usually it is unplayable on a lot of patterns

Airam Mitchell I was experiencing a lot of over Under in the factory finish, so I took it to a lightly scuffed 2000 and it works great for me. I’ve noticed a lot of people change surface on that ball, because I think it is unplayable for many conditions in its factory finish.

Upside Down, yes sir, Phaze III is at 2000, and that really helped me. The Bloody Ocean was the factor finish, taken to 5000, and then polished with crown compound.

This isn’t really fantastic piece. Rolls heavy, hits hard. Easy to score with. It’s a good one!

Did you shine it at 4000 or what did you do with the surface before you shined it???

Surfce was actually stock. I tried 2000 and 3000 as well. Polishing it though, wow.... Just changed it so much, and I would say for the better. That finish seems to fit the coverstock and core better than about anything else.

Nice ! I was a bit confused about what you said about tha lane condition. You said it had a lot of oil in the middle, dry outside...but yet you had a very small area to play on. Why small area ?

Bowling XP ! With the surface, it made it extremely over under. Outside, I had to throw it extremely fast. Inside, extremely slow. And there was a bunch of carry down that made it really difficult.

@@thefreeagentbowler4383 Ah i see. And it was that early even at 4000? Sounds like maybe it might have not been 4000 out of the box. Some balls are pretty far from what the box says. Because usually a 4000 ball doesn't look too different in shape from a 5000 ball. Interesting !

@@thefreeagentbowler4383 If it was checked with a scanner, then wow. It's probably the 1st 4000 pearl surface ball that i hear being that early. (unless of course the lane had a lot less oil haha! )

@@bowlingxp8345 Yeah, for me it was a really early ball with the factory surface. Every game I used it prior to the review, that was the trend - read heads, really read mids and move, and lose a large majority of it's energy before the back. I usually don't have that issue with balls either, just because of my hand and speed. Alas, that was the case. Polishing it was absolutely the right move. After going from the 4000 I had tried various levels of polish and surface and had much better success.

jim ward, the Results has a soft spot for me. It’s an amazing ball. But, if I’m just looking at it for what it is, I would say the motion of this is probably better than the results. Both are absolutely ridiculous balls though.

Cooper Gates not too low volume, usually really heavy in the middle. Really dry outside and tight. I just don’t get along with that ball, unless it’s flat at about 36-38’.

Big fan of your videos but I must be missing something with this ball... shots didn't look that impressive... didn't look continuous or really stand out to me... but then again I'm only judging the ball from the video... you're the one averaging 247 and striking over 70% with it...

Family Flores, the look with the factory finish is quite different than when polished. So much so, I think I’m going to shoot a second video demonstrating the difference. It really has changed a lot. I shot the video before changing the surface and that maybe doesn’t do the call justice.

I think u went with too strong of layout is why u needed to polish it ..that super short Val angle had it turn and burn

CleSwag24 I did that based off past experience where strong layouts didn’t seem to work in these balls, and so I went big. It’s definitely big. Powerful as all hell, and hits like a truck. The polish definitely changed the ball for the better!
