Well spoken guy, also I think UPS pays $25,000 total towards your education, FedEx ground pays $5,250 annually, with no cap.

If you are working 40-60 hours a week when do you have time for education ? The fact the benefit is nice but the time management for schooling is not there. Now you do the math of the hours of dedicated study , reading material , writing papers . For every one credit hour of a class you should be doing 2 hours of study for the selected material . So if you have a 5 hour class that is 5X2 = 10 hours . Now lets add in the 40 or more a week of employment that is now 40 hours plus 10 is 50 . 50 hours plus 10 = 60. 60 hours plus 10 is 70 hours . What about eating, sleeping , having some down time ? Not to mention what about a family life ? Hint there is very little left for that pesky issue .

@@kevindick7485 aimed at youngins but adults who can manage it benefit too. Ive worked 25 hours a week avg at FedEx ground as part time (recently got full time and promotion to trainer) almsot 2 years and continue to work while I go to school. From my understanding, many UPS are not full time either. I’m good at passing classes and understanding the essence of material and class, no one studies for the amount of time they’re teachers say too cuz it’s just not feasible.

Guys do yourself a favor and go into trucking. Get you a Class A or B license, find a local job that’s hiring, gain experience, you’ll have lots of doors opened for you with much greater opportunities. UPS isn’t necessarily a bad choice, just way harder to get into, and managements will treat you like a slave

We don't get paid $49 that's gonna be at the end of the contract we just received, everyone got a 2.75 raise so it's now at $44.25 it will be at 49 at the end of the contract which is 4 years

I agree! I guess they only want to make the driver work, alert, and not feel too relax with the job at hand so I can understand but somehow in a hot state there should definitely have some cooling systems in their trucks for the driver for their safety. Idk how they operate in the hot state but that's just my opinion.

Usps needs a wakeup call. Starting pay is only 18.50 and you have to be an assistant for 2 years before you can convert to a career position plus 90 day probabtion where they can fire you for anything.

I'd say UPS would definitely work for someone who's going to school as the start hours range from 3-6 hours only and there are side hustle within the company if you want to apply it's up to you how much physical you demand yourself to do.

@@deeznutzz9864he’s talking about being part time for 7 years at 21 an hour. Part timers work under 30 hours a week most the time for ups. Shift usually consist of 5 5’s and getting full time is very difficult. They will hire 30k people yearly to keep up with demand in during peak season to pay them minimum wage rather than just giving the part timers a full time position with more hours. Keeps overtime at a minimum and cuts down on having to pay higher wages for working 40 hours
