Very versatile and good sounding Laney. I have 2 Laneys right now, a Cub 15 head, and the older LC30II combo, 2 channels- clean and OD. Awesome and a little more classic dist but great for blues, rock and stoner. Fuck, its good enough for most styles with a little tweaking and maybe od/ts infront.. Effing loud 1x12, and the clean channel stays clean. Love it. Great pedal-plattform also. The Cub sounds like a smaller version of the JCM800, and it has 2 inputs: 15W and 1W. Always play the 1W. Its more than enough at home (i mostly use a 212 v30 celestion closed cab)both amps have reverb. Why am i rambling? Because one can often find their cheaper or older models of tube-amps for very good prices second hand. IMO great amps. The Cubs little red light showing its on often stops working. No biggie and easy to fix or just leave it.Only complaint i ever heard. Cub has 2xEL84 and LCII30 has 4xEL84 both 4x12ax7a/3preamp+ 1 phasedriver. 3x12ax7 for cub. /EEC83)

is it really possible to get very clean sounds, even though the two channels are drive? I want besides the drive to use the amplifier as a pedal platform, would it deliver this function to me with quality?

I dont know what you went for but the Lionheart doesn't have as much gain as the GH50R, Then again, this amp doesnt have that much gain either.(atleast in this demo it doesnt)I like the GH50 L
