Oh my God. Finally! A prodigy who uses arm weight like the golden age pianists did! Listen to that gorgeous, beautiful and deep tone she gets ahhhh. This is real piano. Some day, she will be simply amazing. Just look at the way the keys go down so deeply at 2:22 and how she uses her arm. Her whole arm is moving at 3:00. I'm seriously blown away.

Loved the arm, forearm, wrist, and finger freedom that Ms. Wong demonstrates. To be able to coordinate and control all so well, at such a young age ! Then to top it off she comes to piano with some ideas, some musical expression. Lots of clapping from me.

Cowgoesmoo2 I know I will never attain the level of mastery that Lang Lang and many great virtuosos have, but I keep going because its my hobby I enjoy it and that is all that matters in the end, and that feeling you have after working so hard for a piece and you finally get it right is the best feeling ever. You don't have to be Horowitz or Lang Lang to move a soul. Plus its a healthy activity that who knows maybe latter in life you can make a use of it. Andrea Bocelli didn't become a singer until he was in his late 30's.

Compared to the US with a population of 325, 000, 000 and 32,500 prodigies So, all things being equal, China should have 4 times more prodigies than America has. Nimble fingers, plenty of spirit and confidence, a sense of fun, bags of mistakes but what the heck, no light and shade or shaping but what the heck, she's nine. As to Lang Lang being amazed, we shall never know. What he says to her at the end is 'How old are you?' He is told 'Nine', and says 'Wow'. I'm rather sad to see this child being pushed into the limelight in this way. I suspect her parents have a touch of the Leopold Mozart about them. I would take her out of the spotlight, let her enjoy herself, perhaps try some alternative coaching, and see what happens. And oh dear, did Lang Lang really make the piano? Where will he spring up next?
