beautiful set up but i dont recommend attaching the glass to the sides of the wood because wood expands and contracts with the temperature and moisture in the air. this may cause the glass to also warp as it is “glued” to the wood. it probably wont break the glass but it could weaken the seals
@GrantCrabe2 ай бұрын
If it was outside maybe you'd worry but most modern houses are same temp inside year round also expansion based on type of wood and moisture content in wood exposure to elements etc.

I think the most impressive thing about this setup is that super lush carpet of dwarf baby tears at the end of the video. That plant is notoriously difficult to keep alive and healthy like that.

Great idea you put out there! The ONLY issue I really see when it comes to "theming" is your last little bit of tubing that gets exposed. But if it were mine. To me, that is looking prime for turning that exposed bow in the line into a little bridge or something along that idea. Outside of that, this is incredibly solid!

the more easy way make aquarium & set first and then fut all of the in wooden box
@katherinemorgan8412 ай бұрын
i think the way in the video is technically easier for someone without much DIY knowledge to do. You just need a box you like and cut glass to size. Some people might also consider building an aquarium to be a daunting task. I just think the way demonstrated is a more approachable technique.

It looks very tranquil... What species of fish do you have? If I were to replicate this, I would use a rubber sheet liner, because it's a cheaper material, bends with the movement from temperature changes in the wood and I wouldn't see the sides of the glass anyway.
