I've been here for years, mainly to visit my grandparents and I even spent one year in school here. When I was here a decade ago this city was not so economically developed and had a low population, as it was very close to Beijing and Tianjin so many people thought that it'd be better to find jobs in either of these two gigantic cities than in here. Things didn't change much a decade later, the city hasn't really expanded that much. Shopping malls were constructed but the population didn't quite change. However I like it here better than living in bigger cities as there are less sound pollution. Currently I'm spending winter break here.
