The instruments selected feel like having a kind of time-invariant sound generated, as if the volume change from starting and finishing a note was not manually adjusted to fit the feel of the melody or switch between the musical notes. Not sure how to descrube it, but the music sounds a bit sterile overall in comparison to the original, while overdriving a few instruments forcefully pushing them into the foreground for the listener to hear.
