I just love your sermons, Pastor Ferguson. God knew what He was doing when He called you away from teaching biology and anointed you as a preacher. Robert...I don't know if you see these comments, but thank you! I need to take all of those opportunities to pray with those hurting in my neighborhood. I have not spoken in tongues, (only once as music), but God has often given me prophetic dreams about others or "seeing" knowledge of how to interceed for others in prayer (some, I have no idea who they are, sometimes finding out later) ...God has been withholding this gift from me, this past year, after he gave me a dream about myself...so I know why. I am asking him to fill me once again and and if he chooses to excercise the gift of tongues in me...I will receive it gratefully & will be asking for it. (I don't believe in the manufacturing of that gift, but receiving it with an open mind & heart...asking God for it ... 👍🙏❤️) This was a good reminder for my soul...thank you Robert.

‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God/Holy Spirit given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy (as many people incorrectly assume), nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of what certain Christian denominations are producing today (modern tongues-speech).

I’m skeptical about this interpretation of speaking in tongues is because how come we don’t have an official vocabulary of what that language is
