In 1978, in the US Air Force, and living in the barracks, you did not go through a single day without hearing this song and the rest of the Rumors album - blasting from someone's room down the hall (if not your own). Fleetwood Mac's album was one the musical highlights of my entire life. I never thought for a moment that anyone other than Stevie Nicks could ever, ever come remotely close to her emotionally tender and fragile rendition of this song, but you've done it, Lanie, and even I - witness to and so very fond of all the great music moments of the '60s, '70s, and '80s - can admire, appreciate and even love your own distinct, beautiful, and wonderfully textured singing of this great classic. Thank you, and don't ever stop.

Goosebumps and a tear actually shed down my face. I’ve heard Fleetwood Mac hundreds of times in my life. It wouldn’t even make my top 200 songs of all time. But this... I simply have no words. I can’t stop listening to it, and I can’t process the rasp in her voice, the absolute coolest vibe, the badass smile, and just unreal. Lanie, I have been in the music business for 38 years (radio) and I have a pretty good track record for spotting talent. The first time that I saw/heard your video I was blown away! I actually tried to reach out to you to see if you were signed and I found out days later that The Jonas Brothers had scooped you up. Congratulations!! For what it's worth...your voice is amazing and your rendition of "Dreams" is incredible. I understand what David Guetta and MORTEN have done with your vocals in mixing them into their song but what they are doing doesn't capture THIS!! If you aren't already in the studio recording your rendition of this song then you should be. I would be SHOCKED if it wasn't a radio hit!! Don't lose your cadence or your interpretation when you do record this...I love what you've done. Also, I have looked back at some of your earlier videos and your level of comfort and ability to work the camera has grown leaps and bounds...the growth is off the charts. The way that you play to the camera here connects with people. If you aren't already aware, you have "IT"!! Most people don't and they wish that they did. Go out and slay the world with your talent and remember to remain humble because the only thing that can get in your way now is ego. I'm not saying that you have a big ego, I don't even know you. What I'm saying is that it's ego that can kill a career. Good luck and let me know when you record "Dreams" so that I can be the first to play it on the air!! -Bryan

i’m sick. I’ve loved the Stevie Nicks sound for so long (since the 70’s) and never heard her awesome sound replicated even remotely. The fact that Lanie has not only found that iconic sound, she embodies her feeling for the music she sings. I have this original soundtrack at the top of my playlist and she has never been replaced as my favorite female artist. I’m so now going to follow this young ladies career and see where she takes it. But I do tell you one thing. I know me and MANY others would pay good money for Lanie to cover all of Stevie’s music but with the slight inflections that Lanie does to make it her own. Many can sing alot of the other music I have seen on this channel, but I have yet to find anyone cover Stevie like this angel. Lanie, please consider an entire album of covering Stevie and you just may find a ton of people throwing money your way to download that music. I would be at the top of that list. And don’t just cover it, but put the same emotion you did into this gem. You seemed to have clearly understood her lyrics and it comes across. Lastly, I know you FEEL the music. After this video immediately went viral, she got contacted from Mick Fleetwood himself, who really loved her version of the song. Lanie said in an interview, that in just a few days she got dozens of agents contacting her for a deal. She didn't know, what to do but then went for Fleetwoods contact, because that was the only name that meant something to her. Crazy isn't it? :D From MusicRow article: "After releasing a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” that has earned more than 44 million views across various social platforms, 21-year-old Nashville-based pop artist Lanie Gardner has signed a management deal with Jonas Group Entertainment and a label deal with Republic Records. “It is still hard to process what exactly is happening. Beginning with Kevin and Joe Jonas sharing my video, to now signing with their dad, Kevin Jonas, Sr., it’s unreal,” says Gardner. “And Mick Fleetwood-are you kidding me? I never imagined legends like him would even know of my existence. Everything is happening so fast. It’s definitely intense, but I’m down for the ride. I’ve waited my whole life for it.” “There are times when you find a new artist and it is more than an introduction, it is an arrival. Lanie is one of those rare artists who turns heads, lifts the spirit, and inspires people at the deepest level,” said Jonas Group Entertainment Founder/CEO and talent manager Kevin Jonas, Sr. “Her cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ has ignited everyone listening and allowed the world to see a truly gifted new artist hit the scene. We are so thankful to add her to the talented roster of artists at Jonas Group Entertainment.” "

What I love most about this song is the way she sings it pure and simple.

It is so refreshing to hear a young singer without this peculiar warble that 99.9% of the young people have today? Lanie has such a pure voice and who sings bullseye's on each and every note. Fabulous expression with no visible effort whatsoever. Can't wait to hear some of your other covers. Edit: Can't wait to hear how your singing and songwriting flourishes under the Jonas management!

Is there anything new out by Lanie under Jonas Brothers Productions?

@@sjcproductionsandmedia Not that I have seen...I'm looking, but haven't found anything on KZbin.

That “peculiar warble” you speak of is in all likelihood “autotune” and Laney doesn’t need it!

@@sjcproductionsandmedia She has a song out now called "Better Luck Next Guy."

@@curtiscomfort1384 No. It's the style of so many young singers on American Idol and other shows. They use a fast vibrato that's not natural. It consistently distracts from the performance. This young lady kills it. Hands down.

Could we just for a moment STOP THE COMPARISONS? Everyone is obsessed with this song because Stevie wrote it sang it and mastered it. Stevie is the song but can we take a moment to appreciate how GOOD this version actually is???
