" . . .mythology actually tells us not to judge but to think" states Kavita Kane in this thoughtful talk (4:00), yet sadly what I often see online in comments on such talks is a lot of judging, and making such authors 'wrong' or 'bad' for interpreting old stories in new ways. Surely the point of this living mythology is to 'make us think' by giving us diverse perspectives from which to view not just the people around us, but also ourselves. Surely in this wide world there is room for many truths - this is the beauty of the Indian tradition, which I admire the most!

Mrs Kane #PollutingScripturs by #intellectualTerrorism does not suit you. I hope you do not consider yourself more wise than Shri Valmiki who wrote Ramayana. If possible listen to original scriptures. Sita Devi is a fierce woman herself and does not need any advocate to put her point across and as much as Shri Valmiki mentioned about Shurpanakha it's enough. Avoid sounding too intelligent, it's kind of nauciating. End #Hinduphobia #indophobes
