Sounds like my adventure with fiber. I just wanted to run fiber to all the rooms in my house and to down stairs in the garage, the mailbox for a camera and the dock for a camera plus a monitoring for the tide level and water temp. So now I have a box of a bunch of the Corning cam lock ends, a high end cleaver. Tons of different types of fiber cables from bags of small runs to a couple of big spools down stairs. It’s an addiction big time. The one run I am the most proud of thought is I have a 50 foot antenna tower and I took a chapter from the big guys and instead of running cat five to the top for the three cameras, I ran hardened fiber to the top with a 48 volt line and then have a small switch and a 5, run to each camera. The main reason I went down this road is we get LOTS of nearby strikes and we are always losing a network card or worse each year. Now with all thr fiber I have zero issues. It’s giving Zeus the middle finger saying let’s see you send your anger down a piece of glass lol.
