I'm from Michigan and unfortunately have never been to Lansing. I now live in Alabama and the capital here is Montgomery and of what I've seen in video and pics both cities are of similar size, but Lansing seems to have prettier and more historic architecture. My bucket list is to one day finally visit Lansing along with Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor. BTW, GO BLUE ! :)

Lansing is such a beautiful capital city for a state it don't have all those skyscrapers that other big cities have. And the old Town is just magic it bring you in the early 20th century. just amazing ! Cheers from France 🇫🇷🇺🇲

Monica, I am from South Lansing just a couple of miles up Cedar St. from Holt. Went to Everett High School class of '81 (I'm getting old) and my brother in law is from Holt. I now live in Knoxville TN. Thanks for a great video and helping me go down memory lane.

Great video Lansing born & raised. (Right down the street from the capital @ Sparrow.) Texan now 30 years. I would drive the 19 hours straight for a overpriced hot Sir Pizza! Then to the es fish fry for some smelts. I love going in fall for yup QD Apple cider. Oh and of course to see family.❤

Take the extra time and go to Uncle John's in St. John's for cider, not the pasteurized glorified apple juice from QD. Although QD does probably have the best coffee in town. I do agree with you on Sir Pizza. We have 3-4 in the Greater Nashville area, but with the hassle to get there and back the 8 1/2 hour to Lansing is easier, and I can see friends and family too.

I’m planing to study in MSU the upcoming years, and from what I’m seeing so far it is looking great. I don’t find Michigan valuable state to stay because of the violence it’s sustaining but Lansing is good and I suppose calm city to live in. Especially me who comes from the capital of Bulgaria Sofia which is really tempestuous and mentality iritating city. I need some years rest from that fastly forward life and after that I may evetually settle in New York ot California just the matter of time to figure it out.

Stoicho entertainments that’s awesome! Msu is such a great school. I have to say, growing up in Lansing I never felt unsafe. Like any city there are areas tougher than others but I honestly never got that impression. I live in Los Angeles now and there is way more crime here. Although I have still felt safe just avoiding the bad areas. Good luck in school!

Justin Dungey hey Justin! I think I went to school with your brother! Yeah I didn’t really go downtown at all other than an occasional Lugnuts game. With school sports and clubs that was pretty much my life. It was cool to see how much is going on now!
