Thanks for another great vlog. We went to HK 6 years ago during the Xmas Holidays. Ngong Ping was a fun, and very special day trip for us. I don't remember how, but when we got to the ticket booths, we were asked if we would like a complimentary guided tour of a small fishing village in the area. It is located at the bottom of the other side of the mountain where the buddha statue is. We said yes, and We were pleasantly surprised to learn our tour guide was a native of the area, who knew all kinds of fun facts . He spoke great English, took us to a tea house for a tea ceremony, drove us down to the fishing village, walked us around it, and gave us coupons towards a free treat from a local vendor too. To cap it off we went on a small boat to tour from the village, and out to see where we got to see a couple of rare pink dolphins in the water.

Thank you. Pleased you enjoyed it. We were thinking about going to the fishing village, but we were pretty tired and wanted some chill time by the pool. It looks beautiful though.

Normally there’s a cow wondering down near the village. I been up there long before they had the cable car on buses and it was pretty scary. I was lucky enough to get a tour inside the Buddha. They’ve got all these people names who donated certain amounts of $$$ etched into pillars and boards and another section with people who donated more than $7million HKD (can’t remember exactly how much as this was over 10 years ago that the guy giving us a tour told me) etched on the large flower bulb things around the Buddha on the outside (a family friends name is there, so we had to see). Glad you guys loved it

Merry Christmas! The bridge you saw on the cable car is the "Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge", connecting Hong Kong, Macao, and Zhuhai. The section under the sea was designed to avoid affecting the navigation channel.

In the cold winter, many Europeans and Americans will go to Southeast Asian countries for vacation, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia, to enjoy the warm sunshine, tropical beaches and delicious food.

I can't wrap my head around that city in that location. Its like Miami but bigger and with amazing mountains all around. Rio is probably the better geographic comparison.
