Stop saying that there is such a thing as leaving it "TO THE VOTERS" . That begins the day that the Electoral College is removed by constitutional amendment. Have we not learned in the last 23 years that majority rule refers to a majority in that Electoral College... which can ...and often does... but is not required to reflect the majority of ballots cast by individual Americans.

I agree completely. And please do not get me started on how antiqued the Electoral College is and the "popular vote" should be the new "standard bearer". With that said, referencing the "Voters" is a campaign talking point as much as it is for "headlines" with the newscasts.

"Don't come with an easy question". Do What? How much easier can you get? But being a GOP politician, she sidestepped the question and said a "word salad" about governance. But then she is a notorious "flip-flopper" who jumps from one side of an issue to the opposite depending on who she is talking to.

Re Maine and its high turnout !!! It is nice to see. BUT if 3 people alone vote in Maine ..split 2 to 1 .. then Maine's electoral college "weight" is the same as if the result was 300,000 to 299,000. The popular vote nationwide is an interesting irrelevant statistic. The states elect the president with their Electoral College votes. You wanna fix that USA and not pretend that it is fixed. Maine allows a split EC vote .. but the number of voters is irrelevant. 2 to 2 .. would produce a split. As in Nebraska.
