So tell me - why this is "the best adaptive training platform on the market" ? 😘 In all seriousness I was looking for something like this but opted for Trainer Road as their App directly controls the ERG of my trainer - something Join doesn't do - you have to faff about exporting the training plan every day - sorry but that just doesn't cut it
@LanterneRougeCycling
@LanterneRougeCycling 6 ай бұрын
@@stevecullum7879 JOIN has a workout player that directly controls the ERG of your trainer with your workout of the day. You don't have to export the training plan's workout, it is within the app, see here kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2HMnIx4hceYers

@@LanterneRougeCycling that is very strange. I downloaded the app a few weeks ago after watching one of your videos and was presented with a load of instructions on how to export the workout? I consider myself to be tech savvy. There were no pairing options to enable me to link the app to my trainer so I simply bailed. I've downloaded the app again to confirm this. Is the player a separate app?
@elmar7190
@elmar7190 6 ай бұрын
@@stevecullum7879User of the app here. Exporting the training is for when you want to do the workout on zwift. But you can also link your Join workout directly to your trainer within the app. With ERG mode and everything. Its quite a new feature so it could be that when you first used the app it wasn’t in there yet.
@LanterneRougeCycling
@LanterneRougeCycling 6 ай бұрын
When you press on your workout for the day, there should be a button at the bottom of the screen saying ‘start workout’. That launches the workout player which pairs directly with a trainer or Bluetooth power meter / heart rate monitor. No need to export the workout (unless you want to use the workout on zwift or outdoors on your bike computer). All in the same app but yeah you have to already click through to the workout screen to see the button to launch it

My heart wants Kuss to morph from a super mountain domestique to a serious GC rider. But my head says that the Vuelta a España victory will be the highlight of his career. I think he should be proud of that win but also proud of his role as the best mountain domestique in the pro peloton.

Always liked Kuss, seemd like a sympathetic hard working teamplayer, just a nice guy, but the vuelta win reallys doesn't sit well with me. Winning a tour as the third best rider on your team because the top riders gift it to you without challenge feels super unearned. This the highest level, Kuss earned his spot in history as an amazing domestique, as a champion he is just a fraud
@chavonuevo
@chavonuevo 6 ай бұрын
@@halcalaquende9952 , I wouldn't say that. I think he was on amazing form at the Vuelta and earned that win. I don't think his teammates "gifted" it to him, they just worked for him (kind of) in this case instead of Kuss working for them like he does in all the other stage races. It's a team sport.

@@chavonuevo they were deliberatly slowing down and not showing what they can do as to not take more time on Kuss on stages were Kuss was already dropped. If the best don't compete to the best of their ability what is the point. It is the highest level of this sport, i don't watch for participation trophies for the nicest rider. Part of the problem was that Roglic and Vingegaard were on the same team and noone could compete with visma, but even in these circumstances, Roglic and Vingegaard going all out on the last stages to battle each other would have been epic to watch. Now it is a stain in both their legacies. This most likely was the last chance for Roglic to add another grand tour to his record and the team interveend and didn't even allow him to try. In 20 years when we argue about which riders have which spot among the absolute greatest of all time Vingegaard will always have at least one GC less to his name.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think they are clean. The advances in diet and knowing exactly what a rider needs at all times have made huge advancements; most these guys wear a glucose meter in their arm all the time except when racing. They they also have gell packs with their exact requirements to take; just compare that to when Lance was racing and he might slam a coke or a quick snack they made the night before. Also, with the advancements in powermeters and things like aero jerseys really do make a huge difference over the 90s bikes. The bikes have always been at the required weight limit, so I don't see that being an actual issue. Say these things made a 3% difference, well then that's more than doping. Lance used to say that blood doping gave him a 2% difference, but over a 150 miles stage a 2% difference can be minutes.

of course they're needed, but like this instance, they failed to maintain distance. Something that shouldn't be difficult. Same with team cars. They should be required to stay back X distance under penalty. Front motos should also be responsible enough to check their rearview mirrors. It shouldn't be that hard. Or is Pogi just too fast? haha @@ghislainbugnicourt3709

Kruiswijck's forearms are bigger than his biceps. UAE vs. Jumbo...who can get the best dope? Who can destroy pro road cycling the fastest? Tough to say, tough to say... You just have to laugh at the nerve of UAE, running their doped horse hard every single dang race.

@@anwargorham yeah sure but from LR perspective you have to have a catchy 'hook' in to audiences that might not otherwise see his videos, or cycling videos at all. The fans and regular watchers know that's just how you grow your channel. He does the same with Vingegaard, it's always fun to see what he comes up with 😄

Ah yes... the Catalan traffic police. Typical amateur escort job. If they allowed the Guardia Civil to do the motorcycle escort job - as they do for the Vuelta - this would be done more professionally. But as Cataluña sees itself as an exception to the rest of Spain, Pogacar is treated to a classic display of amateur policing.

Lance Armstrong was 27 when he "won" his first TdF. Egan Bernal is 27 now and it feels like ages ago he won TdF in 2019. And since Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard won. Like why even have a youth jersey? What will it be this year in TdF? Quintana?
