Kuss was and is still nothing more than a good domestic, who did get a huge gift from his team mates last season. Don't expect him to repeat a performance like that ever again. Certainly not in one week races in which he never performed anything special. Don't understand me wrong please, he is a very good rider but no winning material.... Certainly not against guys like Remco, Tadej, Jonas and Primoz.... On a good day he can beat guys like A.Yates, Ayuso, Rodriguez, Arensman and a number of other Grand Tour top ten candidates, but on a day like today he's just one of the guys who can finish between position 20 and position 10. That's what we call a good climbing domestic...

I mean, Pogi and Jonas were mere seconds apart in last years tour until stage 16. There's never really been a question that Pogi can follow Jonas or even beat him on a mountain stage - as has happened plenty of times - but Jonas just seems to have more left in the tank for the final brutal stages of a 3 week grand tour. Anyways, I think all cycling fans are looking very much forward to this years tour. It is a bit of a bummer that Pogi is also riding the Giro, but honestly, the Giro might be an easy win for him and he could well be 100% again for the tour. We'll see though.

if its rainy giro tadej could really do special giro suits his style better than any other gt not sure with alps, dolomites etc so much climbing in italy not sure theres a profile he wouldnt eventually wrestle hold of. I know reco rides great in bad conditions too but hes not riding with tadej for 21 stages maybae a tt heavy tirreno but tadej is just our gens fausto. He looks lean too he trains non stop because cycling is pleasure for hi but the nutrition and body mass details jonas has just had hi in spades last two years. Lance uis only rider ive seen like jonas with uscles in his face lol hes so lean but aintains the kilojoules so impressive. This is leanest tadej we've sean he will like all peak 28-32 sport is just so unique need still fast twitch for gaps, years and slow twitch for GT's, and experience for cerebral and tactical side to save energy and maximie efficiency another aspect jonas has mastered. Tadej should start, and his leanness is good sign , to close that gap and advantage jonas has had in not just relying on sheer singular effort and use team and really pick moments to use and save energy. Should be great season. Not sure what olypic course looks like but ifslovenia ride for tadej primoz, matej, jan, etc he could win gold leaving worlds his white whale. Flanders is hardest race in world the thin worlds and contsant fight for position and contant efforts accelerating out of coreners its opposite of GT slow twitch , vo2, watts/kilo, effort up mountains its incredible hes great at all to animate as debutante and solo year later I hae to think whe UAE sellout likehis flanders team with bjerg, trentin, etc he will win MSR his sprint is becoming incredible and flanders and strade show you when surface forces max kilojoules with long distance it favors him its not just climbs. He should win all 3 gts, 5 monuments, but could also wi olypic gold and world rr. Dont ever see him ee on podium of world ITT unless its strange clibing route like 4-5 years ago where froome did well. Be great season congrats on fitness LR looking lean yourself

This is what happens when you have an HC climb the second day of a stage race. You open up potential for large time gaps that can't be crawled back. Vlasov riding a good race per usual. While I am skeptical at times, it's worth noting that none of the other climbers in this Volta are in the first tier of climbers (Pog, Jonas, Primoz, etc). These are tier 2 and tier 3 climbers.
