I absolutely love the strong factual wildcat! She got the experience and so do I and I agree 110% with everything Melissa said! Melissa is a great voice and a great example to help show these addicts that you can BEAT ADDICTION, you can ACHIEVE GREATNESS and you can definitely provide experience expertise and not their phooey federally government funded programs that provide their “so call” statistics. They should have their eyes and ears checked and start realizing that NO ONE believes anything you say anymore!

The whole approach of treatment center's needs to change for the better. Much more of a holistic, healing approach is needed. A place where people feel safe and genuinely supported. Temporary housing with weekly opportunities to participate in group tasks - cooking - gardening - meeting's - community volunteer work - natural healing modalities etc.

The NDP speakers are completely irresponsible and insane. It's shameless for them to compare our situation with other countries, because countries that have a strict policy against drugs have a much, much smaller drug problem than the one we face here. I travel to China and Japan to conduct business quite often, and both of these countries with their strict anti-drug policy only have a minor drug problem. In addition, both countries have cultures that perceive drug users and dealers not as helpless victims but as criminals, so people who fall under the influence of drugs often want to actively seek help and recover, because they don't want their families to be ashamed of them and become entirely marginalized by the society. Our culture in Canada has too strong of an emphasis on "helping people". by blaming all the ills we face to the "system" and even our history. It's never the individual's fault. This spirit of generosity and acceptance are what make Canada great, but I believe it's also important to draw a line, especially when the way to "help" people has become completely out of touch and dangerous not only for our community but for our children.

Kwan is out to lunch, Hadju is just faqing useless. I suppose by % of population Alberta may be higher but number of lives lost are far and away much higher in BC. Alberta is doing amazing things for treatment. 1000 beds/spots open in a year and a half. Including two residential centres at full capacity. 150 each. 2000 more to come over the next two years. These WEF puppets all need to be booted to the curb.
