I imagine they might have made extra sprites for little things like that, but as the Cutting Room Floor has proven, they just don't get used due to one reason or another. Or, as you put it, they just didn't bother. Veigue's speaking style is standard. It's pretty cut and dry, so I think you have it down the best you can without having him repeat certain things too often. Honestly, if it weren't for the rest of the party, this would have been one of the more boring Tales games in terms of characters. I hate to be mean, but he's not a very interesting protagonist overall. I've always been way more interested in Eugene and Mao's father-and-son dynamic anyway. ;D

I'm currently focusing on translating ToD2 right now, so I won't be uploading cleaner versions of my Rebirth videos for now. The translation is there, it's just grainy as heck. Sorry for the inconvenience. Once I have more time, I'll try to pick this back up.
