Walkthrough: This battle isn't that hard you should be fine. Me: *screaming at Annie because Veigue and Eugene are dying and she's either spamming Power Kraft (attack up), Guard Wasser (defense up), or just hitting the enemy with her staff/getting hit and negating her healing spells* Me: *gets fed up and starts controlling Annie like I should have been doing all along* Veigue: *running **_AWAY_** from Annie's healing circles/forcing me to cast them in front of the enemy meaning that they either last all of two seconds (because Annie gets hit), not at all (because Annie gets hit **_WHILE_** casting), or he dies anyway (because **_HE'S_** getting hit and can't heal enough to make up for it and I don't have enough healing items for this)* *Everyone except for Annie dies while the boss is at 800 hp and I admit defeat* *Repeat attempt like 10 times this time with me using **_TWO_** controllers so that I can heal with Annie while forcing the characters who need healing to stand in the circle* *Fails several more times before getting fed up and switching to easy mode and playing as both Veigue and Annie (and occasionally switching to Eugene to heal him) while Mao carries me by spamming flare shot from a safe distance making him the **_ONLY_** character who wasn't on suicide watch, who was actually pulling their own weight and not dying aside from me, the only one I have no complaints about whatsoever, and officially claiming the title of best boy* TLDR: Frick Annie, Veigue and Eugene are suicidal (and no Annie, dropping a attack/defense boosting circle THAT THEY AREN'T EVEN STANDING IN isn't going to help as opposed to HEALING THEM), and Mao is a total cinnamon roll who can do no wrong, is the only competent one, and has earned the title of best boy.

The AI in this game is usually pretty good, but yeah....it has its moments too, I definitely admit, lol. And I personally have found that I just do better in general without Annie for boss fights. She is useful for removing status ailments. Although the liquor/panacea bottles can kinda do the same thing with less headache.

i love this game....but you cant walk for 5 minutes without initiating some kind of dialogue.
