Lanzhou FAMOUS beef noodle soup & Hui Muslim specialty dishes | Silk Road

Lanzhou is considered a small city by Chinese standards, but it's got a lot going for it. The downtown area is spread across a large strip from the high-speed railway station down to the Waterwheel Expo Park.
Famed for its beef noodle soup, Lanzhou also has a lot of other great dishes to offer with its lively snack scene and Hui Muslim restaurants. Make sure you try some of the cold noodle dishes, skewers, and roujiamo at one of the many snack shops around the city.
On this trip we spent three full days sightseeing and casually dining. It was the perfect amount of time to spend that left us wanting more.

*The easiest way to find these if you're traveling is to paste the shop names in to Gaode maps 高德地图 (also called Amap). Or you can try Apple Maps (Apple operates normally in China and maps are quite good/all in English).

I am Lanzhou native here to enjoy your video. Beef noodle soup is breakfast and lunch food usually, so most noodle joints are open til noonish/early afternoon.

鸡蛋醪糟 shouldn’t be translated to milk chicken, but something like fermented rice boiled with milk and egg.
