Never heard such a soothing voice in lao! Not used to this in the kitchen. Can’t wait to try ! I want to make nam with this !

Lol thanks for the comment on the voice. A few people had told me that I had soothing voice. Just make sure you massage the meat mixture with the seasonings until it formed a very sticky paste like. That your som moo should be good to roll 😁 thank for stopping by 🥰

Like 7 สวัสดีครับ คุณล้าน ทำออกมาได้น่ากินมากครับผม
Is taste good but is it safe to eat raw or do I have to cook it?
@laoamericanlady4 жыл бұрын
Tom s It supposed to be consumed raw is best, but for health reason is best to pan fried or grill. The store bought som Moo are very dense because they used certain preservative to keep it dense. Mine are not but they are better for your health than the dense store bought som moo. Pork are not save to consume raw, please grill or pan fried

can we use the store-bought already ground pork? Like the extra lean ground pork since it's already grinded?
@laoamericanlady Жыл бұрын
Yes you can but most Asian store ground meats in my area are not so fresh. If you have some trusted store that has fresh ground pork.

Jenn Hisle no you don’t have to, just make sure you mixed it really well or used the Kitchen Aide with the dough hook. It will dense up the meat which is best for Som moo

Nem Chua or Nam(Thai: แหนม, pronounced [nɛ̌ːm], also referred to as nham, naem moo, som moo, naem maw, and chin som) is a pork sausage in Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, and Thai cuisine. It is a fermented food that has a sour flavor. It typically has a short shelf life, and is often eaten in raw form after the fermentation process has occurred. It is a popular Southeast Asian food, and different regions of Southeast Asia have various preferred flavors, including variations of sour and spicy. Nam is used as an ingredient in various dishes and is also served as a side dish. Nam has its origin in Vietnam. Nam originally a Vietnamese type of sour sausage called Nem Chua (sour sausage)Vietnamese immigrants came to Cambodia, Laos and Thailand and brought over this sausage.

Noulec TS your welcome, it was my mom recipe. The most famous Som Moo in Savannakhet back in the days. She made som moo. Chinese sausage, Lao beef jerky for living
@laoamericanlady3 жыл бұрын
@Papa F Jose yes I do, I think I made the pork version. Same seasonings as beef. You can slice the square like French fries about 1/2 inch wide and 6-7 inches long or slice them thin and flat. I like to used some sort of liquor, it could be Japanese Saki or Vodka, or beer. Add 1 to 1-1/2 Tablespoons vegetable oil to chase the flies away if you want to dry your jerky outside. For some reason the flies don’t like vegetable oil. They won’t land on the jerky. Thank you so much for your support🙏😁
@laoamericanlady3 жыл бұрын
@Papa F Jose 🤣🤣 you used my recipe?? They do sell this name in the store made by some Lao people. Their nam or cemented pork a very dense this because they use this chemical to make it dance but it is unsafe to consume so I did not put in mine. Mine is pretty much natural. If you wanted to be really natural do not use any of those Nam Powderers. Your name won’t be dense but it safer without. I panfried mine. These were meant to serve raw but for health reasons a pan fried mine. Because they are poor you don’t really want to consume raw. Thank you for your support
@laoamericanlady3 жыл бұрын
@Papa F Jose here is my beef jerky. You can 1/4 cup or a few table spoons of raw sesames seeds when you marinade. I dint put any in this clip. Her is the clip I made a while back kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGrcep-Yga6ti80
@laoamericanlady3 жыл бұрын
@Papa F Jose Thank you so much for the 🔔. By the way you are commenting on someone else comment. That person will see all these conversation. Hope it’s not bothering her. Can use this recipe for ground beef but still use shredded pork skin. All you need to do with the fresh pork skin is boil it with fat and later when they cook shave off the fat. Or just shave the fat off bra and boy the pork skin. You can slice the pork skin by hand like I did if you want it thinner you have to slice the skin diagonal and goes really thin. I like my skin thick so I don’t like the store-bought shredded pork skin. You can go ahead and try with the ground beef but use pork skin it is very good as well. Beef is probably a little better than raw pork but I recommend you to grill them or a pan fried instead of eat it raw. But they are purposely meant to serve raw when fermented. But pork is not safe to eat raw. Thanks again For your support and have a wonderful🙏😁 day
