I love this. This can break a lot of stereotypes about us Black males. Most people from other countries (even here in the states) get their 1st impressions of us on TV. This is refreshing.

The thing with the african american people is that they’re all regular people, but if 1 in a million does something stupid (robbery, rape, fight, etc) the media shows it everywhere and the stupid people creates this dumb stereotype because of that single person who fucked up and because of the way the media works... It sucks, but it is what it is, same for me when I’m in America, they see me white with green eyes and automatically assume I’m some kind of rich spoiled kid, when I’m the opposite of that, heck I’m not even American, I’m latino... Hey Laoshu! Man, love your videos. But lately, I feel like they are following a certain formula. Don't get me wrong, it's still impressive as fuck the number of languages that you know, and they are still fun. But I feel like the conversations always have the same structure, and I feel that's because you follow a certain script, and when the convo deviates a little from it, you start struggling because you haven't practiced that language too much (which is totally understandable) and people don't get that involved. They're like "Great man, that's cool that you know that." and that's it. - I can speak (language). I'm learning (language) - Really? Why? - Because I like learning other languages - Oh, that's awesome. It's crazy that you know about (language) - I want to learn (language) and other languages - Wow... That's awesome. - I know Chinese, Korean, Japanese... - You're a genius! - HAHAHA! That's why I love your Chinese, Cantonese, and Japanese interactions (the one with the Chinese fishermen is one of the best videos on KZbin, honestly). Those are the best, in my opinion, because the conversations are deep and interesting. Of course, I understand that your channel is also about showing that you should get out there (not literally, thanks to COVID-19) and try to have conversations with native speakers; seeing you struggle is also a good thing because it makes us understand that we are going to make mistakes when learning a new language. But since the videos look formulaic, they are becoming less interesting. Just my humble opinion man.
