Actually the number plate reader will pick up everything...it is based on the NSW Police in Australia system. The Police can place warnings on a vehicle and when the PPV number plate reader reads the plate it will come up with an alert to tell teh Police officer, this warning could relate to anything from unpaid tickets, warrants for people who might travel in or own the vehicle, firearms in the vehicle, drug runners (and so on...). They are a great tool for Police to have..

I own a version of this car and I love it and I'm sure it'll be a boss cop car buy why on earth would ford stop making the Crown Vic?? They had 70% of the market nailed so they should've surely revamped the Vic, given it power and performance to match this car and kept on selling! When someone says no thank you, I don't want to keep making millions then I'm missing something??

i really can;t grasp the whole problem with plate readers. I hate the government wiretapping and spying on citizens, but the outrage some people display over plate readers really bewilders me. if a cop wants to check your plate, he can just type it into his computer anyways, so reading them automatically is really no different. All the plate tells them is if the car is registered, if it's stolen, or if there are any warrants out for the driver. other than that, it really does nothing.

@bk559312 жыл бұрын
@TommyChevyBugle Correct they aren't made in the USA. But the Caprice is a very good car. My local Sheriff's Office got one in August as a demo car to see if they are going to go with the Charger or the Caprice. I have ridden in the Caprice with them twice. It is very fast and agile. We got called to a fire assist and we did 65 mph up an on-ramp with a 25 mph limit. Then we got it up to 135 mph. It can go faster. It's a good car but GM needs a year or two to fix minor flaws.

No, Ed Welburn is the head of global design, Being in such a position and the type of man he is he does not interfere with the various design centers meaning that South Korea and Australia had little interaction with the US in the design phase....

umm, What about the Camaro? Seeing as that is actually an Aussie designed vehicle. Matter of fact several vehicles out now and up coming ones over the next decade are being heavily designed in Australia. Also Australia has far stricter building requirements then many other countries in various industries making Aussie car's very safe.

Considering GM them selves have stated that the 5th gen Camaro was designed in Australia your argument is hopeless... Yes Ed did over see the project but that does not mean he was the one sitting down at the drawing board designing it.. My argument is further backed up by the fact that the Camaro sits on the Australian Zeta platform... if it was done in America solely they would have used only American..
@MrVonnoobie11 жыл бұрын
Guess I win the debate =) beyond me to how you think that the 5th Gen Camaro was designed by a single guy in a management position who him self has made steps to remove excessive oversight in the design phase from those up top....

Add Los Angeles airport Police to the list of Chevrolet Caprice Police interceptors. I spoke to an LAX officer, and he loved the vehicle. According to him, all vehicles in their fleet are equipped with the V8, L77 package, and officers are very impressed with the GM Performance package.

Yea they have and if you haven't committed any crimes then nothing will pop up on you for them to pull you over for (unless at the time you are breaking the law), And that argument is mute by the simple fact that they currently can search up and number plate as it is today all this device does is takes away a lot of the wasted time thus increasing efficiency thus better use of your taxes.. So if you rather your taxes continue to be used poorly then keep on whinging.

So the Holden Commodore was designed in America? What was that based off of? You sir have little facts and seem to think because the parent companies are in the US that every car that is designed and built around the world must be that of a US design.. That is just completely bogus.. Yes Detroit designed there version of a camaro, and Holden designed one as well, The Holden design was chosen as the winner and the Detroit design was thrown away =)
