The fact that most of this amazing stuff is from Earth is mind blowing. I can only imagine the Gems the Universe holds.

Dave you are sooo good at reviewing booths, people, rocks, giving us a taste of EVERYTHING - great pace- you never go too fast. I love that you are including jewelry, carvings and gems! Thank you for always asking prices or turning items over to show the prices- it’s such an important aspect when one’s looking/watching- the more the better! I’d like to hear your opinions of where you think that southwestern turquoise jewelry was made, etc. I love when you tell us what type of turquoise is ‘hot’ and what you think are ‘good’ prices. Your dialogue is valued greatly on everything! 🩵 And lastly, I really hope you get into faceting- love to see that journey.

Hey Dave. I just bought some pink quartz and Libyan Desert glass from the Modern Bohemian website. Nice stuff. Thanks for showing the goods

Thank you so much for taking us on a detailed tour of these wonderful booths and their beautiful treasures. The people are so nice, too. Those are some gorgeous stones. This is as close as I can get to getting to the gem show. :) I'm surprised you didn't walk away with that entire bucket of tumbled agates. "It's paint by numbers" is the best response to the color question on the Australian lattice. :) Ruby is my birthstone. I want that star ruby so bad!

Good gravy look at all of those rocks & crystals! Amazing! Thank you for showing these beautiful pieces! I have a huge hunk of Faden quartz I bought from a friend who is originally from Afghanistan. That rose quartz from there is stunning!

Thanks for taking us along. Libyan desert glass, rose quartz specimens, lavender turquoise, amazing eye candy! Where were you browsing at the end when it was loud and Dusty snared you?

Enjoy watching the show coverage FYI a business called Al Zuni was indicted in 2020 for selling fake Native American jewelry from the Philippines in violation of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act.

The prices they are charging here, I am saving money just ordering them online lol, with trust that the seller is packaging them safely of course. I had a lady send me EVERY stone with minimal protection on multiple occasions, and the stones would end up with cracks in them from people tossing the package around.

I have a ton of meteor shower sunstone feldspars, grey, black, deep red, and orange. I only have ONE rainbow lattice sunstone and it's grey. Its basically a grey moonstone with rainbow lattice in it.

My DP Genie cabbing machine worked for about 9-10 years before the spitter went kapoot and died. Got myself a Cab King to replace it, sorry Dave but I like my new machine better.

Fun fact, lapidary comes from the Latin word lapid, meaning stone.

Is it just me, there is really nothing new. Every year these shows have less wow factor? Don't get me wrong, these are beautiful but before I feel like the mineral sellers were trying to wow their customers.

Yes and no mostly yes though you are for the most part right I only saw three new things this year two of which have been out for a few years just under my radar one of which just made it to the states but who knows how long it’s been out in Morocco
