Looks like a fabulous family adventure. Even the unexpected is somehow fun when you're all together. And Northern Lights viewing is another reason to go back some day. We see the NL's in Scotland from time to time, ultraviolet and undulating colours. They are lovely but you did so many amazing things anyway and the children had a ball. The snow mobiles at night were gorgeous.

Your camera was so stable. What did you use for a video camera and did you use a body attachment device? Thanks for the video

We simply use a gopro. No attachments, however it was tied to our belt for the huskies!

Hey guys, we are off to Apukka in 4 weeks. What time of year did you go? Loved this vlog, so informative especially as we are taking two young kids too xx

Enjoy it! We would go back in a heartbeat. We went in January. We hope you have more luck with the Northern lights than we did.

Awesome! We are hopeful for northern lights, fingers crossed 🤞I’ve just been checking out some of your other vlogs and looks like we’ve been to a couple of the same places in Europe. We have a family travel vlog page on KZbin too, called Withers Family Adventures. Good luck on your next trip x

Hi guys. Loved the Lapland video. We're from Lake Macquarie. Wife and l are looking to stay at the same place as you. Keen to know, what would you do differently. ie, length of stay, ice fishing etc. Thanks.

Thanks so much. If we could, we would have included the sauna on the lake. Obviously, it's not possible with kids. If you do get the mobile sauna, book the last of the night. They left it there until morning, and we had much more than the hour we paid for. The night train was fun, but there would be better ways to potentially see the lights. I believe they have night husky and snowmobile tours. Alcohol in Finland isn't cheap, but at the resort, it was really expensive. If you want to have a drink, we'd recommend taking a few bottles of wine. We had a 5 night inclusive package, which helped cut down costs. The husky sleding that we did around the lake was not included, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. We did all of the activities we wanted to within the 5 nights, however we could easily have spent more time. We don't feel that we missed out on anything, other than the activities to do without kids. I'm sure we would have enjoyed the ice fishing more if we caught something, but it was experience all the same to be on a frozen lake (we don't normally go fishing in Aus). Feel free to ask more questions if I missed something 😀

My ex would visit Rovaniemi for work. He did heat cold testing of cars. My son and I never got a chance to go, but the ex would make sure Santa sent us post from the North Pole.
