Reminds me of when I called that phone chat thingy with a sexy lady in the ad. I was in 4th grade when I called the number out of curiosity. The lady scolded me, saying that I was too young and that she'd tell my mom. Got scared shitless and I rushed to the phone every time it rang for a week or so. Good times.

I got scammed twice. I didn't feel like an idiot as much as I felt dirty, someone had stolen from me and I felt filthy in a way that I couldn't really describe. Like some part of me had been violated somehow.

On the part of "80% of info of the internet is wrong" its the fault of dodgy source articles and unreliable links (specially from the last 7 years), which is the main reason why Wikipedia will never be considered a reliable source of info. Books are good but in some cases you gotta be sure which the printed version is, on hard sciences its not too bad but on soft sciences... yeah that its quite the leap of faith. On people not being real... anyone that grew with the internet before social media knew as fact that you should never use real info about yourself, EVER. And even with social media you should not make public any important personal info... or post anything private... in fact just make a sock puppet account that has no personal info. Only business profiles you kinda have to do it but beyond that its just asking to get doxed.
