Personal tip: Use Kusogaki Shackles with Injection Type Asacoco (lose 5% hp/sec but gain 40% ATK). Add in Membership (lose 3 coins/sec but gain 30% ATK and take 10% less damage). The shackles is incredibly strong.

@@ODDnanref If you upgrade it fully (lvl 3) it cancels out 100% of both of those effects. I did a run where it was the focus of the build and it allows you to use those items with no drawbacks. Pretty strong for sure.

Tmt hat is great. You need a weapon or collab that attacks afar like stream of tears. Softens up fans before your close range weapons finish them off.

@@pakxenon Devil Hat is only good in Time Mode with Meme of Tears as the Holocure Discord calls it. Otherwise, those two are very bad in Stage Mode and especially in Endless. Mask and Paw are more consistent, then Soda is useful if you have high CRT.

Always good game design to have interesting trade-offs on items. Makes you think more about how to best use it and whether it works with your current build. In turn you can give them very strong synergies in case the right conditions are met without it feeling too powerful overall.

​​@@lockman5196o it's useless after all because most of the player debuffs are too weak to really matter except pick-up range, and that one is easily countered with Sana's Limiter. Edit: just remembered HP loss from Injection-type Asacoco. That would definitely be a strong combo.

@@katier9725 Oh it works with other items, just not _Halu specifically_ . Furthermore, you have to _max it out_ for the penalty to be completely removed. Items I've noticed it work with: Injection Asacoco (stops HP drain), Membership (stops the coin reduction) Breastplate (removes speed penalty), Energy Drink (removes HP penalty), Gorilla's Paw (removes the crit penalty), etc. Caution: if you're not planning on using an item that has a penalty, avoid this item, as it'll take up a space needlessly.

Kusogaki Shackles are quite good in Holocure as I always had to hold back on how many debuffing items I could equip as the negative effects could get quite bad but with the shackles I can literally go super crazy and have come up with crazy good DPS-builds that allow me to absolutely obliterate the game (assuming I survive long enough to implement my plan). On a good run, you come across the shackles early so that you have no fear with taking some of the debuffing abilities.

My build with the Shackles is: Halu: More enemies summoned for faster levels Gorilla Gloves: Attack multiplier Devil Hat: Attack Multiplier Face Mask: Attack Multiplier Asacoco Injection: +80% Attack It's tricky getting these items because they are 1-3 weight. What is weight? I can't explain it but from what I understand from the game, the higher the number, the higher chance it appears on you next lvl up. And the items listed above are weight 1-3 which means they are rare and no matter how much you roll, they are hard to get. So here's my list of what you should banish to get these items at a higher chance: Sake, Limiter, Plushie, Piki Piki, Headphones, Uber, Bandage, Energy Drink, Credit Card, Body Pillow. You can always look up the list on wiki of all the item's weight giving you an idea what build you could do.

sadly the halu item is the exception to the debuff nullification since the negative effect does not effect the character rather than it effects the enemies. so pairing halu and kusogaki shakles won't nullify the enemy strength increase.

It would've been strongest if it worked on Halu. Unfortunately, it doesn't. They're still good when mixed with gorilla and facemask. You could also negate injection with it, but injection is weak to begin with.

@@ODDnanref It works on membership too. Membership, gorilla, facemask, injection, piggy bank, breastplate, energy drink, hope soda, hat. The only one really worth taking it for is the facemask though. Injection is too weak to take, energy drink is useless in a long run, hat is useless in general. Piggy bank, soda, gorilla and breastplate have debuffs that get negated in a long run and are not that harmful. Membership's debuff can be ignored after you run out of things to waste coins on.

I'm seeing quite a few comments claiming it's weak because it doesn't affect Halu or seem to be thinking it affects Halu. I'm here to state that it _does not_ affect Halu, because that item works differently. It _does_ affect most other items such as Injection Asacoco, Membership, Energy Drink, Gorilla's Paw, etc. and it affects _all items_ that you're carrying that have penalties (not Halu though). The thing is that you have to _max it out_ for it the penalty to be _completely negated_ otherwise it'll only _partially negate_ the penalty. Unless you plan on using at least one of these items (or items like it), then it takes up a space needlessly. My verdict: While it does not affect Halu, it's still pretty useful.

Well, I wouldn't describe it as THE best item, but I would definitely consider it a must-have if you're willing to sacrifice passive defensive and healing items for more of a glass cannon/fragile speedster kind of setup. Absolutely worth picking up if you have the non-Super versions of, say, the Energy Drink and Gorilla's Paw.

unfortunately since defensive items are overall better the shackles are pretty much useless. bandaid, yagoo plush, daki and breast plate together give far more benefits long term than shackles plus damage boosting items cause you can increase your stats later on as long as you survive anyway.

The shackles combined with the debuff items are actually super easy to get if you buy the shop upgrade that removes your other weapon slots. Without all the weapons appearing you get all defense/passive items as well as the occasional stat boosts when you level up. Plus the Solo stamp is really powerful so you only need your character weapon. Plus once you upgrade everything (which you can easily do quicker without all the weapons to combine and upgrade) you get only stat buffs which can REALLY stack expecially if you get a lot of hastes or crit rates in a row.
