Excellent info, my 400/1000 grit diamond plate and holder from Amazon is great and very cheap price. No clogging or debris. Eric You confirmed my choice 👌.

Great video Eric. I'm a rebel and use 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper on a glass cutting board. Once wet, the paper adheres to the glass. I like it because there is so much area to flatten on (and it's so cheap :D)
@AdventuresInWetShaving3 жыл бұрын
Good stuff xxXXCarbon6XXxx! ;) Yeah, Buddy I like the idea of having so much area to use for flattening your honing stones! Thanks for your great comment and encouragement, and thanks for watching! :) Take care and stay safe, have a good weekend my friend! :) #Heart

I'm using Naniwa A-120 #220 grit lapping plate for lapping all of my Naniwa stones from #1k Chosera to #12k SS. Have no problems so far. To lap lapping plate you can use glass with #16 grit SiC powder.

Thanks a lot for a very instructive video, Eric. I'm using an Atoma diamond plate #1200 for lapping both synthetic and natural stones. Does that give an even smoother surface than the DMT #325?
@AdventuresInWetShaving3 жыл бұрын
Morten, it should give you an even smoother surface for sure! ;) Yeah, Buddy! Thanks for your great comment and encouragement, and thanks for watching! :) Have a good weekend, take care and stay safe my friend! :) #Heart
