You don't have to be scared. Just handle that battery carefuly and nothing will happen. If your laptop is small and so the battery is built in much more difficult i recommend you visiting a repair service/shop.

It works for me. The tell the truth, I opened the back of my HP Pavilion Gaming 15 cx0078tx, just to learn how to open it, the placement for RAM n SSD that I might buy 6 months from now(lol) & suddenly got this blinking stuff. But when I did it, I didn't used up the motherboard power(press button for 30s). Then I do this and works wonder. The main reason for this is to used up ur motherboard power, so it resets the voltage supply to ur motherboard(bios)

I’m using a dell laptop and I had the same problem. But I don’t remove the battery and reinstall it, I just do the long press power button for 10 seconds and then plug in the charger and press the power button once. My Laptop was back to normal.

Having Same problem but i have removable battery type Acer Laptop and i think my battery is dead and lap had been running on AC only Cuz battery indicates 0% for almost 3 years.As it have worked fine i had been using it in AC mode for a while but one day i had been playing GTA V and lap have unplugged mistakenly and lap gone off.when i tried to turn on the system the same problem as yours appeared.and your method is not working for me.

Its not like that for my laptop. I continuously held the power button and tried turning it on multiple times - I even held it down for a minute straight and nothing worked. I guess my laptop just gave up since it's 14 years old
