Hi dear, I have lenovo t430s laptop. It Only turns on automatically when charger plugged in and not by pressing power button (While on Battery, not connected with Charger). But it stays ON if I remove the charger plug and battery behaves normally (discharges normally). But It does not turn ON if I have turned it off by Shut down command while using it. After shutting down by shut down command and connected to Charger, it does not Turns on by pressing power button. I have to remove battery then re install it then when I connect charger it turns on.

Thanks for replying, I got it checked and found that power button was not working and also the "time power cell" was found faulty.So, laptop turns on automatically when removing battery and installing it again. Do the Faulty Power Time Cell was a blessing in disguise for me.

i had the same problem i removed the battery runned it on the adapter and then uninstalled the drivers. After shutting down and unplugging, i reinstalled the battery and plugged in the adapter the laptop showed that the battery was charging. The problem though is that when i remove the adapter it shutsdown again. So this method of yours did not work. I want my laptop to work when there is nothing plugged in

@@smgaming6688 as i stated earlier in my comment i tried to do all sort of fixes that could be done using the software, but when i took it to the nearest computer shop. They told me that the I.C was damaged and was not accepting any current or giving any output. Which is why i had to pay around 35 dollars to get it repaired. Thankfully the IC is running well now. My battery was also not working although i still have it in my system. i'll have to buy a new one later on.

@@akbarrehmat1212 After examining software method like from command prompt to un/installing battery driver ,I finally hold power key after 15 minutes till finally it turned on ! but solving it forever . now the laptop turns on with unpluged too . don't know perhaps for uninstalling way but as I remember it didn't work (turnning on) after shutdown or perhaps I pluged off it after shutdown and must do all processes at pluged off and ... but it worked and it didn't need for replacing Ic issues , you know ? , okay thanks for note and mmmmm perhaps this video !

Hi guys, I just bought a new battery and replaced it. (I'm using Acer Aspire F5-573) But I'm facing to another problem. When I plug the power, laptop works normally including charges battery but when I unplug the power, using battery, I can only use the laptop within 10 minutes, sometimes 8-9 and sometimes 2-3 minutes then the laptop was shutdown, but not immediatly. How about with ACER E14 E5-476G, on battery icon have an "x" marked, and it said "No Battery is Detected" ( Windows 10 ), so can only working / turn on if connect the laptop to charger, is this have same issue with you? and have same solution?

So this is really odd... I have a Dell XPS 1810 all in one and have that same issue... unplug it and it goes DEAD... so I went into Device Manager and under "Battery" there is only "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" no AC Adaptor listed... should I buy another charger? my Battery is charged up to 91% and won't go above that... just seems odd to me that Windows 10 wouldn't have the AC Adaptor listed.,.. anyone have thoughts on this one? 1) Replaced the internal Battery with New one 2) Updated Windows 10 and Drivers. 3) Ran BIOS Scans and 100% OK However, I did receive an error that went ON and OFF saying "No Charger present, please connect charger" Weird one... 4) Went to Dell Website and all Drivers are up to date, however, not sure if Dell XPS 1810 can handle Windows 10.... I performed all these steps and still if I unplug the charger it goes DEAD~! I'm thinking the MB is TOAST! or at least the port cross over to pwr.... but why would the BIOS Tests 100% OK?

I think my situation is a little different, it says my battery life (not the amount of battery) is lower than 50% when it did the check up. @@christineagura8008 No mam turns out these manufacturers will keep a piece of code inside these batteries that keeps count of our battery cycles and makes the battery useless after certain no of cycles. Battery won't work even if the cells are fine. So I am left with no choice and replaced it with a new one.
