I love this laptop, my work gave me 1 to use I ended up liking it so much I got a personal 1. Iv always turned my nose up to laptops compared to towers but this is the one that made me change my mind!! This laptop is a beast, opening it up logging in and it being ready to go takes seconds. Your never waiting on this thing it's always waiting on you!!

Look at how upgradeable and serviceable it is, the new ones are like this too AFAIK. Thinkpad fanboys complain about Lenovo getting rid of these features but are too attached to a brand name to get an Elitebook.

Hi there, Could you spot the CMOS, so i can reset the password for the BIOS setup?

Thanks for the video. I just opened my work unit to clean up the cooling. Pretty solid machine I must say, I would totally compare it with old 8460p or 8470p. Upgradeability quite impressive for today's standards, yes, but CPU is soldered and already bottlenecking in trivial tasks like running Windows and Teams calls. It's just low quality software, yes, but it doesn't help soldering a CPU that's not to much faster than 10 year old i7s.

What is the largest drive and ram you can upgrade to? Basically I want to max out, I was looking at a p5 2TB and 64 for the ram.

Can you add 2.5 SSD anywhere as secondary drive?
@CinceTheDay3 жыл бұрын
Most probaby not. The 2nd M2 slote on the right side (here equipt with a WWAN module) is where you headed. 2:48 The G5 worked if you put a 42mm NVME B+M-Key M2 SSD in there (although it's prompting "not supported WWAN module" on every boot then) you could both from both and select them in the UEFI With the G6 that stopped working and the SSD is just not recognized. So I doubt they're bringing this "feature" back now.
