KZbin audio is usually compressed, although I think if you watch it in 1080p then the compression is 320kbps or so... while not lossless, I dont think there is audible difference. You will sooner hear my mastering mistakes than that ;) I used lossless for the video itself though

You know gunther is a tragic character when even jc says "you sent him because you knew he would fight to death" even jc respects him. He wanted to kill jc so bad but jc shows respect and sympathy despite being the nano augmented cold blood.

@@shanshajahan8160 JC is cold blooded if you want him to be, that's why the dialogue options and conversations (and even the direction given to his voice actor) are designed the way they are. You can be cold blooded and still love your brother, or perhaps not want the world to fall into the clutches of mass murdering megalomaniacal maniacs like simons and page 'you've got ten seconds to beat it before I add you to the NSF casualty list' 'you're gonna burrrn alright' pretty cold blooded to me

Ты можешь дать батончик, который мог пригодиться тебе самому, тому голодному мальчику в первой мисси, даже не подозревая, что он даст тебе наводку на тайный вход в логово NSF, просто из жалости и из-за того, что авторы показали мальчика в игре действительно страдающим от голода. То же самое с бездомным в парке, который просит убить его, потому что он страдает от вируса серой смерти - игра явно хочет вызвать у игрока=персонажа обоснованные сильные эмоции, и у неё это получается. JC, будучи хладнокровным, вряд ли находясь в розыске и вне закона полез бы в отделение полиции в чужой стране просто потому, что та китайская актриса, связанная с VersaLife, рассказала (соврала) про свою связь с его братом, несмотря на то, что глава или член одной из китайских триад предупреждал не доверять ей. При том, что её квартиру можно было проверить при первом посещении, беспринципно взломав тайное помещение. Так что всё зависит от отыгрыша за персонажа JC и реакций игрока на сложные моральные выборы - и разработчики явно хотели, чтобы характер JC мог значительно отличаться.

The fact that Gunthers own employers called him "the whore machine" makes him one of the most tragic characters in the story. All those brutal augmentations to please masters who cared nothing for him. In another way it serves as a warning about transhuman and eugenics - turning human beings into tools enslaves and denatures them.

That’s what I liked about Deus Ex compared to cyberpunk or CD reds version of it. They actually considering the consequences of being a war machine and not really a normal human while in 2077 characters like that are just regular people with machine guns and rockets built into them, making their arcs literal jokes.

An interesting take on Gunther with this image. His augs have the same appearance as the ones we see in Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. He's probably similar to Lawrence Barrett, who in turn think was a nod to Gunther, both of them being massive heavily augmented walking human tanks.
