It's interesting the way the Morrowind and Skyrim themes feel so different despite being in many ways fundamentally the same piece of music. Skyrim is bold and stirring, Morrowind is reflective and melancholy. Personally (and I know I'm not alone in this) I find the Morrowind theme always makes me a little sad. It just has that feel somehow.

Morrowinf is a game about a dying culture and a legacy of betrayal and deceive. The main theme works with it really hard. Skyrim is a game about an epic travel and slaying motherf*ing dragons. Personally, i preffer the Morrowind theme, but I love The elders scrolls theme in any version. I really thing they nailed the concept of an evolving saga and gave you the spirit of the gameplay through the music keeping the same "flavor".

Gusanoman Yes, the theme captures the tone each time. The Oblivion version had this almost militant theme that made me think of the Roman Empire - pretty apt considering the resemblance between the Empire and the Empire.

There's no word to describe the feelings behind the listening of such a beautiful rendition. I've played morrowind since its release, and I'm still playing it today (thanks to the Overhaul mod that really enhance it), I'm deeply attached to that game, I'm glad there are people like you that take time to play the associated themes and even improved the listening experience. StormyGaming20000 You better watch what you say, but no seriously. Skyrim is only better if you played it first. You won't be able to go back and enjoy the freedom that Morrowind and Oblivion gave you if you are still hyped on petite graphics. Also the story line was complete shit. The enemy encounter was never varied in skyrim because almost every cave had drauger in them, and atleast oblivion and morrowind would have bandits wearing different gear and use different fighting styles. I faced a battlemage in oblivion last night. Never once found a mage with a sword in Skyrim. you are entitled to your opinion, even if its wrong though.
