@@SarahDengler indeed fyi I did read she co-composed this song with Walter Afanassiev. But he gave her no credit for it. She was engaged with him with wedding plans and he cheated on her and they broke. She later wrote the lyrics from this experience on the music they have built together. The fact that in this song she finish by the Forgiveness, which here means more forgiving yourself and moving on, than forgiving the ex-partner, is a real life lesson and is really in line with what we know from Lara as a human being. She is very positive, benevolent, and down to earth.

Thank you for a so heartful reaction. Lara is unique, I follow her since many years and now she lives in Montréal. She speak many languages but I think her french culture can explain her amazing emotional song interpretation. Like her, I share the same musical culture and her way to deliver emotion is share by many amazing French signer like the Opera Notre Dame de Paris, Danse mon Esmeralda from the amazing signer Garou that touch your heart like Lara does. Lara is in my opinion one of the vocalist in this world. You should listen the song "You're not from here" from the same show, this song is in my opinion her best song.

Thank you for doing this reaction to one of my favorite singers. Your reaction was very authentic and touching, and your analysis about emotions was right on target. I am so glad that you are not one of those reactors who is afraid to show emotion, when reacting to an emotional song. Or if they do, they later apologize for it. I don't understand that, because emotion is what makes us human. Lara has such great talent and is a true storyteller / performer when she sings. She said “you are very very good and I’m not saying this to many singers” Barbra even covered Broken Vow in some of her tours (not recorded unfortunately); funny moment happened when she called Lara to get the charts of this song and Lara hung up the phone, believing this was a prank.
