The whole "from Lara with love " concert has established such a ridiculous high standards of performance quality that it's hard to fill those shoes every time but this was 95% of that which means it was mesmerizing . 😮I love the Italian rendition . It's not so often the song is so good in 2 languages (at least for me) but here i can't choose which i Like more. Almost every Lara's performance leaves me drained out. There's no singer on this earth that can transfer feeling thru the voice in this amount. My favourite singer by far . All the best in the new year to Lara and her fans. From Lara with Love was in 2000. This one is from 2007. We are in 2023. Voice ages. Body ages. She will never sing like back in 2000. It is true for all singers. If you listen to her singing Adagio in 2023 it's even very different. You can not have the same singing voice over the years. There is nothing to do about that.

Others place her in the top echelon of "performers". But Australians monkey American and British tastes. Her repertoire being for sophisticated listeners, these are are rare in Australia. In addition she cannot perform as dynamically these days . Lara might not even fill a small concert hall in Sydney at the arse end of the Earth, so what's the point when she can sell out annual tours virtually anywhere in Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, etc? She now has a bob or two and has her TV shows and her peripatetic lifestyle between Canada, France and Iraly. I live near Melbourne but will have to travel overseas to see her!Cheers and comiserations!
