The song is a cover but as always in such case, she made it her own. This is from the Soundtrack of a 1988 movie titled Bagdad Café and the original singer was Jevetta Steele. Jevetta and Lara performed it again as a duet. Yes, this concert is the pinnacle of her artistry. For all the problems that KZbin has, and there are many, without it, you and I and thousands of other people would not be exposed to Lara, Dimash, Dan Vasc or the amazing acapella groups that are out there. Lara has been a force since 1988, but until a couple of months ago I had no idea who she was. But we sure as shootin' know now.

Finally going to one of the best show and album of Lara's 2002-2003 world Tour ''En toute intimité'' so many great songs including this cover from Jevetta Steele who invited Lara to sing it with her at her show in 2010 song from the movie Bagdad Café, also from that concert Lara shows to all her full soprano voice in the cover of Verdi's opera La travatia, out of this world.

Hi Maddy, yes, like others say, you need to react to this entire intimate concert with the english subtitles: songs are Comme Ils disent, Caruso, Traviata, Mistral gagnant, Star mania medley, Je suis malade (very different version with even more emotion), voir un ami pleurer, tu es mon autre, Immortelle, bambina,... and calling you. More of french concert but music works in all languages. Ciao

Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia after in June its in Canada Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait. Maybe some venues in the USA for 2025, to be announce later on...?

My Gosh! I used to think Celine was the best female vocalist alive, since Whitney is not between us anymore. But since I discovered Lara, I’ve totes changed my mind. Lara is it! The best! I guess I’m putting her even above Whitney, ffs! She’s brilliant! If I’m being honest, Celine, apart from her obvious great voice, never made me feel real emotion. I must say that she’s almost robotic when compared to Lara, who’s the absolute full package. She gives me literal chills. A fantastic storyteller with a voice of an angel.
