She's so adorable at the end. Her natural timbre & thick tone makes me melt. Every time.

Hi Tee, what a wonderful cover of Barbra's song. Your reaction during the song and its interpretation made my tears flow. It was a real pleasure!! I would love for you to do the duet with Josh Groban "For Always" performed at this concert with John Williams. I seem to have read that Josh was very impressed to sing with Lara because he was young and knew that Lara was a fabulous performer. But for me this Duo is fantastic. Just like the one she did with Mickael Bolton for "The Prayer". I hope you will one day. Big kiss Tee, you gave me a big emotion again and you made my day.

Hello Tee! I can see that she made you wonder and maybe little comparing her with Barbra's version...Well this is purely matter of taste, which you prefer more. Both singers are technically the best that there is. And i know you have a history with Barbra and her music. Not a bad choice, heh. So have i, from the end of 60's, early 70's. She is one of the greatest ever. All her music is not my cup of tea but i appreciate her vocals in her performances. She is technically brilliant. But... There always is the BUT... But what comes to this Lara's performance i'd say it is better than Barbra's live version. Based on the fact that Lara's voice is better, especially in higher notes. And her vibrato is more delicate and more beautiful than Barbra's. You can compare these if you want and if it's necessary. As i said this is a matter of taste. And i prefer Lara's voice more. And we have to remember, it was Barbra's song. Not Lara's. If that is meaningful at all. As we all know Lara can make other singers songs her own. But anyway this is absolutely Lara's one of the best performances ever(green). BTW, you wondered her mic in the beginning...It was a hair she tried to get rid off, almost making this a comic show, heh. Well she won the match with that hair... 😁 Thanks Tee for this masterpiece.

Great reaction, Tee! I also find that, while Lara’s live version of Yentl was better than any Barbra’s live version I have seen, I still prefer Barbra’s version to this one as well. But this was magnificent nevertheless. Fun facts around your comments: - John Williams and Steven Spielberg: John did meet Lara first when he did select her for the soundtrack of Steven’s movie “A.I.”. In this movie, she performs “For Always” twice. Once in solo (we only have the audio) and a second time in duet with Josh Groban ( there is a live version of this duet in the same Boston concert as Evergreen kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGXHpaejo5ijprc) I do prefer by far the solo version. That’s how Josh met Lara, became a fan and wanted to cover her Broken Vow (Barbra also did cover it) They had later a couple more duets together. - Shirley Bassey: did you know that Shirley made a cover of Adagio ?

I too prefer her solo version to the duet with Groban. No disrespect to him, but Fabian's version is more fluid & magical, imo.
@ericsicard9102 жыл бұрын
@@DoggieFosters I am with you there. The other problem I have with Josh Groban or Michael Bolton is the same in all their performances: great voices, but the emotions of an oyster. IMHO they are monolithic statues and barely expose no feelings. And in duet with Lara, by contrast, this is even becoming more evident.

@@ericsicard910 yes! Exactly. Well said. Now I'm going to picture oysters replacing their heads whenever I see them. 🤣

@@ericsicard910 Josh was a kid performing with Lara who was singing for 10 years at that time. He was 20, he was beginning his career, he was shy. I think he was very courageous to sing with her. As for Michael Bolton I think he had shown emotions but his Italian (unlike Josh, who pronounces Italian really well) is awful, so it appears that he had no emotions. He wasn't supposed to sing The Prayer with Lara but he as Seal heard her singing and Michael wanted to sing with Lara. Probably he didn't even knew what he was saying!

Great reaction, I agree with you. She makes you speechless. Wonderful reaction, playing it straight through. She sang it just as good as Barbra Streisand. And I'm a Hugh Streisand fan I love Lara, as much as I love Barbara.

Lara Fabian is a big fan of Barbra Streisand (me too) and she loves her so much and get a lot of influence from her and you can see it.. That's is, like Yentl Medley, a love present for her idol.. Also Barbra made a cover of Lara " Broken Vow" but she did never recorded it just performed at the concerts. After Lara live performance of Yentl medley in Montreal 1997, Barbra Streisand said about Lara that she is "Broadway Alive"

Hi T I found another artist her name is Sarah Farrell and she has an amazing voice she seems to be 17 or 18 years old now and she has a KZbin channel. I recommend check her out you just may want to broadcast her. I’m sorry I don’t know how to send links or anything like that but just check her out. I know for sure you will not be disappointed :-)

I wasn't impressed when this originally came out, and I'm still not impressed. It's too slow, and it sounds like Lara is just draaaaging along. I prefer the older version that Lara performed many years before: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oamVZmdjatGWY7s Also, Groban's appearance with Lara at this same concert is super cringeworthy, as is most of his appearances.

It brings tears every time. I just want to add that no other reactor gives me as much joy as you do, you are special. Please could you consider doing your Lara live stream at a time that your European followers can watch? So looking forward to it. Phil

Thank you Tee for reacting to Lara singing Evergreen. Barbra Streisand is among my most favorite singers, also Karen Carpenter and Shirley Bassey. Lara sang this song Evergreen beautifully, but I feel like Barbra version is more personal to me. Having said that, I feel Lara's Yentl is more for me.
