Apparently Barbra herself was expected to sing this song at this event and couldn’t show at the last minute. Lara was there for her duet with Josh Groban, she knew the song by heart, having fell in love with it at the age of 8, and offered to replace Barbra. Let’s note that the great John Williams was the orchestra director here 😱

Hey G! What a treat, "Babs" the original Queen, covered by "The Queen". Your spot on, I would never try to cover Barbara on anything, but she was The Queen's idol and stepping up when "Babs" couldn't make it, takes a special person with the courage and confidence to give honor to it.
