This is definitely an ORIGINAL version. Anyway, Annie's original is higly intimate and 100% personal, and I would never thought that someone could make it her own, but yes, she does. I love Annie, she made the best days of my teen age, and she is a poet, but.. wow, Lara is making this song her own. She's put a new vibe in it and the voice - damn! If she and Annie'd play on the same stage, some day, I wish they would do it on my burial day, I would go down HAPPY!!! Love you Annie, hats off Lara!

Wow ... what a blissful interpretation on a song that admittedly has Ms. Annie steeped all over it. A huge fan of both singers, I wasn't expecting this. Beautiful interpretation, with a flavorful spin. Thanks for posting!

. This soulful song echoed its brilliance through her voice that touched deeply in consciousness which reverberates the lyrics in the spirit. The song expressed its sadness or gloomy upon the person it talked about. . In this performance, she delivered the material from suttle to climax which has an emotional hook at the last part, that she rendered in varying intensity. Though the tone of the music seemed that she's pointing to someone else, it is evident that conversation is taking place in the lyrics. She narrated the story in the song which asking why she's asking someone maybe that person won't know what she felt. The song describes that person as voluble or talking that hurting her every time that person speaks, that the same person not perceptive they are falling. It also describes the thing they have used to such as book, words, path, dreams, joy, tears, fear, dread, years they spend, and it represents. She sings on high and low notes that give meaning to the piece. This singer was so compelling, she can move the audience every time she sings. She knows how to use her resonators to express emotion, they've been amazed by her muscular, vibrant, so reflexed, and flexible voice. The way it does phrasing, the beginning and end of each statement were gently done was beautiful artistry. though looks like a piano recital, however, the emotional attachment was felt as it was in the song. Her dynamics in singing so brilliantly delivered, clarity of syllables, diction, phrasing, ability to connect one line to the other unnoticed. Her ability to give the meaning to the story in vocal singing characterized her prowess which made her distinct style that touched every heart (she got a standing ovation) through the passion it embraced. Further, she was educated as a singer which made her effortless to deliver the music and had started singing at the age of 5 years old, probably made her master the singing. Whenever she sang the piece of a song, literally this becomes her own. Her ability to live with the material, and rendered with complete passions, energy, focus, and enthusiasm was quite noticing being immersed, involved and engaged showed in other songs she performed such as in caruso, perdere l'amore, and jesuis malade, je taime, broken vow, you're not from here, adagio, to love again, come ils disent, etc. Has mastery of various conversational techniques (storytelling, grounding, teasing, baiting, cold reading, role-playing, etc.), delivery (oral such as the low and high register of voice, and nonverbal such as body movement, hand gestures, etc. ), styles that build rapport and attraction interweave with the emotion through the use of her vocal ranges which accomplish the motif of the song. see details in the "review" of her performance showed as a singer on this link: => kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHqsfWimbMSKgc0 Apolo Bagunas valcrerevgen@gmail.com

I listened to the very brand genuine song of Annie-she's got a super orchestration,lots of instruments,a very good mastering sound engineer, therefore, a masterpiece. But, as she plays live, on Queen's tribute to Mercury, sh's hesitating and voice goes off the score, as she usually does when playing live. If Lara played this live, then she is mastering her voice better. But this is just technical rubbish, the main thing about music is the spirit, and they are both tremendously gifted-thanks God!

Nice cover and a beautiful voice, but it doesn´t have the gut feeling and poignancy that Annie Lennox brings to the song, I suspect it's because for AL this is a personal song, written with her own experiences in mind, like most her Annie Lennox' songs...all that being said, this is a good cover and Lara Fabian is a very talented singer
@victoreuroza7909 жыл бұрын
Excellent explanation. You're completely right!!
@frankbirch38777 жыл бұрын
-> jfigueredo and Victor Euroza. I think it is poignant, maybe sung in a little more refined way, because that's how Lara's voice is. She most likely chose to do a cover of this particular song ( she could have chosen many others) because its particular ( and poignant) message resonated with her own, different, personal experiences . That is one reason why she interprets it so well, but differently. It's kudos to Annie Lenox that Lara wanted to sing it again.
@onefluxaway13 жыл бұрын
@achaserofrocks Isn't that the right lyric? Annie Lennox sing it that way.

Not exactly a brilliant defence of your argument, as I might have I might have expected. Your claim that she is a copycat CAN and HAS been denied as It does not stand up to scrutiny by any sane person. It is quite obviously based on some kind of deep seated but irrational prejudice. If you wish to ignore all the evidence to the contrary then that is your problem. Just don't expect others to take you seriously

Nice country song voice but Annie Lennox is no country singer
@blackbeasthamish11 жыл бұрын
What complete bollocks. All this video proves is that she singing a song originally performed by Annie Lennox. Annie herself recorded the songs of other artists, including "A Whiter Shade of Pale" first recorded by Procol Harum and based on a work by J S Bach Does that mean she can only copy songs by other artists? The answer is no, as she also recorded over 40 songs written by herself. Incidentally, Lara has also written a a number of her own songs and had many written specifically for her.
@19001211 жыл бұрын
All she can do is copy other(real) singers song-text, this video proves it!

it´s not amazing, because Annie´s voice is unique (unlike the majority of singers) and any other version is JUST NOT good as the original... the whole song by Annie is just genial, including the arrangement and orchestra... so everything else is just a poor copy

Love Annie's version way better...this is too much Celine Dion...it misses out on the raw and emotional original...too perfected and loses power.
