Great tutorial, you're a life saver! When I created my project, the yml file wasn't generated. I found this solution on stack overflow. In the root of your application, run the following commands: composer require laravel/sail --dev php artisan sail:install

When I do composer create-project... in the end it doesn't generate the docker-composer.yml I copied every command here and it didn't shows up. Just can't find where did I failed...

It doesn't appear because at the time I write this Laravel 8 doesn't support creating directly the docker.composer.yml file. Thanks to Sadeeptha Jayathilaka in the comments to point that out. His comment should be pinned to the top!

Awesome video! That will be great if you could make another tutorial about docker deployment (laravel app) on both cpanel and AWS (EC2) servers. I've got a Laravel 9 app and need to deploy it on cpanel. The problem is that php 8.1 is not supported in most of the host providers (e.g. Hostgator,...) yet, so I'm trying to deploy docker containers with laravel 9 and php 8.1 to resolve the issue

Is there a vid about managing a couple of projects on sail? Would there be 3-4 containers for each project? Or can I share some of them (let's say mysql, mailhog). Those take some space I wouldn't like to waste. Can we have 2 laravel sail projects running at the same time? How would I open them in the browser? Do I need to change ports for projects? Or could I put something like "127.0.0.1 website1.test" and "127.0.0.1 website2.test" in my hosts file and open the websites via that names?
