Larch for XAFS Analysis 8: Running Feff to calculate EXAFS contributions

Hi,Matt. Thank you so much for the video and Larch program. For curiosity, I am wondering whether using the calculated results of Feff10 is possible for fitting EXAFS, especially considering the fact that the feff calculation folders are separate and editable in the Larix workflow. Thanks

Hm, it's hard to guess what might be going wrong without more details. Can you send a more detailed description of what you are doing, perhaps by email?

Hi Matt, thanks so much for this video. I am having trouble opening my .cif files. All my files when I try to open them in order to be able to run feff calculations, show a dialog box that says there is an error reading the .cif files. I use these same files in Artemis and have not had any problems with it. Thanks in advance

CIF is a complicated format, and without knowing the details of the CIF file, there is no way to guess what might be going wrong. Send a question to the ifeffit mailing list, and be sure to include the actual CIF file.
