I loved The Inkwell and Why Fools Fall In Love, too. But my favorite film of Larenz thus far is Dead Presidents. Such a great film with a stellar soundtrack. Also, I’m so glad he playing Terry Silver on Power didn’t work out because I love Larenz as Rashad Tate. I’m amped he’s now on Power Book II: Ghost.

"The Inkwell" was the movie that made me include Larenz into my favorite actors list. He had just played O-Dog in Menace as a hardened street kid and to turn turn right around and play Drew Tate, an awkward, recluse, sensitive teenager AND be believable in BOTH roles is nothing short of amazing. I take my hat off to Larenz Tate, an amazingly talented actor who I always admired for his wide range of roles that he played. My favorite movies was Dead Presidents, Menace to Society, the Inkwell and last but not least Love Jones. Love Jones was a classic, and was so memorable for me, because it was the first movie that I brought my first love of my life to see when it first came out. And what made that movie so nostalgic was the time where I was truly in love at the time, with arguably, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met in my life. And Love Jones, in a special kind of way, summed up that timeframe when that love was strong and it was real, passionate and incredibly beautiful as well as enchanting. That was in 1997 NYC. Big respect and big salute to the legendary Larenz Tate💯‼️👑🏆💪🏾🔥
