That's right. But you already have that risk with the small bottles. And large gas cylinders are really no longer rocket science in the restaurant business. ;-)

How is this working out after a year? Doing research to build a similar setup.

It's still great and I keep recommending it. I now have the second 10 kg bottle in use. However, the 10 kg bottles seem to be subject to greater price fluctuations, so that the last bottle was about 30% more expensive. In total, of course, it is still worth it.

My Sodastream Cool tank Thread is thin, why is it different compare to yours?

No idea, here in Germany there is only the one connection. I know that there are other connections for the large cylinders in other countries, so if necessary you have to check this again exactly and buy the right adaper. When I search from Germany on ebay for "Sodastream adapter", I get the appropriate suggestions directly. Maybe that works for you too.

@@MakerMeik und wenn man die nicht mehr möchte gibt man sie ab und bekommt das Geld zurück! Ich habe genau die gleiche fürs Aquarium, die andere vom Hornbach würde zwar auch gehen aber da ist es eine Kaufflasche....

Hi @Roland Brandel, schön dich hier zu sehen :-) Stimmt genau, es ist tatsächlich nur Pfand. Ich habe das nur mal bei der Amortisation berücksichtigt, weil man ja evtl. längerfristig sprudeln will und das Pfandgeld dann doch eher nicht so schnell wieder sieht ;-)

@@MakerMeik und ich hab die genommen, weil ich nicht sicher war ob ich 10kg CO2 langfristig im Schlafzimmer haben wollte.... Naja, wenn die mal abbläst oder undicht wird hab ich eh keine Sorgen mehr. 🙄😉🤪😋
