Jen, I put my 11 year old dog down Nov 18. I picked up his ashes today at 3pm...4 hours and 20 minutes ago. It is a very hard decision but I am a firm believer in doing what is best for the animal. I have put 4 down in the last 10 years and 2 more to go years from now. You made the RIGHT decision for Ellie Jelly Belly. We don't know how they really feel so when they show bad symptoms it's time to go. My guy had a few cancer bumps that exploded, he was going in circles, he went blind quickly and one eye started protruding. He's at peace. He feels better and I'm going to believe Ella May and Buster are chasing each other in Heaven.
