LARGE FAMILY DINNER: MEATBALL STEW

Join me as I make Hearty Meatball Stew for my Family of 13.
Ingredients:
-6 Pounds Ground Meat
-2 Cups Bread Crumbs
-8 Eggs
-1 Cup Milk
-1/2 Cup Grated Romano Cheese
-4 teaspoons salt
-4 teaspoons garlic salt
-2 teaspoons pepper
-4 Cups water
-7 cups beef broth
-2 Cans Stewed Tomatoes
-2 Cans Tomato Paste
-2 Cups Chopped Carrots
-1 Onion, Diced
-1/2 Cup Chopped Celery
-2 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning
Directions:
1. In a large bowl combine meat, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, cheese, salt, garlic salt and pepper.
2. Shape into 2 inch round meatballs.
3. Heat oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides.
4. Put meatballs in crockpot.
5. Add remaining ingredients to crockpot.
6. Cook on low 6 hours or on high 3 hours, or until meatballs are cooked through

From this Italian grandma, next time just leave the meatballs on the cookie sheet and bake in the oven. Just as good and much easier. And you can pour the drippings right into the sauce for added flavor.

I loved this meatball stew. I have trouble eating onions cooked in a crockpot. I would have browned them off in the pan with tomato paste then added it.l but otherwise I really want to try this stew. 😊 Have great day.
