Tom, I know you disagree with monetizing these videos. But, if it is an option, please consider. Many of us would be absolutely honored to be able to help you and your wonderful children, by watching these. Andrea is teaching me so much, even now, and I wish I had something to give back to your family. Regardless, my family are all in prayer for you and yours.

Sara Williams I agree 100% I have watched so many of these videos and will gladly watch them a million times over. I paused watching to comment on what you said about allowing ads on your channel and the vacuum cleaner salesman outside your door - what a good analogy. lol But...I just wanted to say that having that five second ad then being able to click to someone's video doesn't bother me at all. I think that your time (and I know it must be considerable) deserves to be recognized. Especially for all the well thought out and heart felt sharing that you do. You are so organized in your thinking and presentation of your thoughts which are always encouraging and helpful. I'd feel good if by watching you it helped to support your family. Either way, love your sharing.

I agree, I don't mind ads especially on smaller channels that I get a lot of entertainment/value from. One thing I will say though, is that neither Andrea nor her viewers can choose which ads will play. I keep my internet interests to a PG level, but I have had to sit through inappropriate ads that had nothing to do with me or my interests, and nothing to do with the youtube creators interests and content either. Both viewers and creators would benefit from being able to have more control over the ad content. I don't like seeing ads for Fifty Shades of Grey, but I would gladly sit through ads of things Andrea and her family like and feel comfortable promoting.

It's so heartbreaking knowing that she is no longer with her family. I am agnostic and childfree with no intention on having any kids, but these videos are very helpful and therapeutic to watch. Andrea, I agree with others that having ads makes us feel like we are helping to support your family and that we value and appreciate all of the long hours put into making these videos. I for one don't feel like it cheapens "our relationship" in any way. I do respect your take on it, but maybe consider setting up a patreon account so those of us who want to support your family in some way can. Ads are just the easiest way for viewers to feel like they are giving back to you for all that you do.

Andrea, this video was such a breath of fresh air. It seemed like a weight was lifted off of me upon hearing you speak. It's so great to listen to someone who is of like mind on so many things. I have ALWAYS wanted a large family, but I started later in life (around mid 30s). You would be amazed at the amount of people who say "Oh you're too old for all of those kids" and such negative comments. God said that anything that we want we should ask for it in his name and I truly believe that if it is His will, he will bless you with it. That being said if I want 20 kids, and it's His will, I believe that He would do it (not that I want that many). It's just so great to hear someone speak so positively about having a large family. Also the birthdays .... I was Amen-ing the entire way through you speaking about that. I believe that a lot of people lose focus when it comes to birthday parties. We all want what is best for our kids and to give them the world, but sometimes what means the world to them is just having family and close friends over to share in their special day. I like to stick with a $100 budget and I let THEM plan what they want to do. It's not my day .... it's theirs, and again, I think that's what people lose focus on. I'm a bargain shopper so I guide them in finding essentials that are cost effective, but I let them help me plan so that they know what's going on. The only cost they aren't responsible for out of that money is the cake. Amen again on overdoing it with babies. I think most people have done that, at least with the first child. And as far as splurging, again, you hit the nail on the head. Our nearby Wal-Mart always has the best deals on clothing when they're either going out of season or the brand is changing packaging or something like that. Recently they had a bunch of shorts and short sleeved shirts for $1 each. Well I know that they're going to be needed so I buy them. We have a closet that holds clothing for the kids to grow into and people think it's absurd. Well no, because they'll always need clothing and of course, with kids, growth spurts happen. And even if we don't use them, we can always donate them. I mean they were $1 a piece! I don't see it as splurge as much as an investment. You just really nailed so many great points in this. I love your wisdom and interacting with you (sort of) through your videos. Thanks so much!

I would rather help people as needed or that I see as a need other then donating a certain amount to a charity that I am not sure where it is going or what it is being used for. We have 7 kids and I'm praying for that baby #8 🙏. But I always say in the beginning of the month to my husband, we have these many bills and I add up our income and it doesn't seem like it's going to work out. By the end of the month all the bills are paid, all the kids are fed, we have everything we need and I say to my husband "God is great" he did this. when I start to feel worry, I stop myself , pray to God, leave it up to him and he always provides for us. It's truly amazing. I also just want to say when I get to watch one of your videos I feel like I'm hanging out with one of my girlfriends! Thank you for that, I can totally relate with you on everything!

I absolutely agree with your comment about God taking care of your family as it grows. When we were expecting our fourth child our family started to tell us "oh well, 4 kids is not too bad, you'll be okay", assuming that we conceived again by accident, which was not the case at all. We wanted another child. It was at this time that my mother in law said to me in Spanish " don't worry every baby comes with a loaf of bread under it's arm" meaning that God provides for every child born. We had to break the news to her that we were going to actually receive two loaves of bread instead one, because I was expecting twins. We went on to have three more children and it has always been a blessing to us.

I was raised on very similar values as yours, however, there was abuse in my childhood home. It made the experience of living humbly a completely different experience than you and your children are so fortunate to experience! 💗 I remember feeling enraged, and resentful when I was expected to share a portion of my earnings with my parents while I was living at home in high school. Frankly, I had a sense of entitlement and just wanted to runaway as far as I could, as soon as I got the chance. It's exactly what I ended up doing. Fundamentally, my parents were loving and did their best, and I came to understand them over time. I had to overcome the anger and resentment I felt due to the injustices I felt growing up. Some of my personal experiences were so painful 😢, I developed PTSD. I absolutely admire the way you and Tom love on your family! The love is genuinely there, it shows. I see why you have such caring, happy kids. They genuinely are because they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. I agree 💯 with your philosophy on how you choose to live life one day at a time. You give now to your children, and they give back when it's your time to receive. It's a natural cycle of life, and I get that. God always provides. I SO agree! He has provided abundantly in my life. I couldn't ask for more. I will miss watching you grow, Andrea 💖. I am grateful to have your teachings forever available here on KZbin for generations to come. RIP. Many blessings to the Mills family.

Wow thank you so much for making this video. I am only 20 minutes in, it's just my husband and I at the moment (no kids yet unfortunately) But we stress so much about money, it is a daily conversation and it's hard to make ends meet sometimes. I like what you said about how your husband does the work but God provides. I will totally look at everything differently now. My husband installs fences for people on the side of his regualr full time job, he makes a lot more money (per hour) installing fences but we are so worried he might not get enough work if he quits his full time job and we won't be able to make our house payment or pay our bills. It's amazing that you guys went for it and succeeded at having your own business. I am going to have him listen to what you said because it seriously changed my outlook on everything. Thank you.

Hey Andrea! I somehow ended up watching this entire clip, and I feel like a clip that's over an hour of some talking yet still keeping me entertained deserves a comment. I really appreciate your videos, partly because I can learn and partially because you have been/are in such a different lifestyle/culture than I am from. I ended up watching a clip of you showing the house, and since then I've been hooked! I have actually wanted to ask about why you don't put ads on your videos, but now I got my answer! I really like that way of seeing it, and I know for a fact that once someone sees youtube as their job, it can take the fun out of it. What I do like about ads, especially on smaller channels is that its a way for me to actually contribute to the person I'm watching, by letting the ad run thought instead of skipping it, but I guess I can show my support here instead! Keep up the videos, and keeping being yourself, its great to see. While I'm not a religious person and as I said, I come from a totally different culture on the opposite side of the world,(I'm a single child & live the capital of Sweden) its fun to learn and explore your lifestyle through your videos, so just wanted to say thanks & to tell you that anyone can learn and get something out of your videos, and that you have a friend on the other side of the world here in Sweden! :) (sorry, didn't plan for it to be this long!)

Watching a short ad makes my heart happy if I know I am supporting someone that has given me wisdom and encouragement. I see it as a small way God is blessing you because you're blessing others. And I think it is even more of a blessing because you're not seeking after riches. Either way thank you for all you do.

Another wonderful video! Thank you for sharing and being so transparent with us. I have a video idea for you-would love to see you talk about some of your "favorite things" especially those that you use for babies. Would love to hear about your review of your baby wrap, highchair that attaches to table, moses basket and such. You seem to have all your 'baby stuff' simplified and concise. We are expecting baby#3, but watching your videos I think we have way too much 'stuff' that really isn't needed. Thank you again for what you do, so encouraging.

That's a great idea! In September I'm planning to devote the month to pregnancy and baby videos. I know that's a long way down the road, but I've put this on my list because that's an excellent topic.

On not buying your kids something when you go shopping, I totally agree. I have (almost) always done this with my 3. My oldest was an only child for 6 yrs and the only grandchild as well so he got a lil spoiled. I realized this while i was pregnant with my next son and started cutting back a lil at a time and he got allowance to buy what he wanted. It's not that he asked or begged for items, we just bought them for him. Once we had our new baby he was only using allowance to buy stuff and getting presents on special occasions. My other 2 just grew up this way using money they earned doing lil chores so they've never known any other way. It has taught all of them lots of responsibility and to take care of themselves a lot more than to ask Mama or Daddy for what they want, not what they need. That's the difference, i supply what they need always and if they want something then they save for it with their earned money. I agree that it teaches them to be responsible adults who give back instead of take away. My oldest is now 19 and in the Navy which I am very proud of! So I guess he definitely learned how to be a good adult. That's what our job is as parents, to love our kids and teach them with tools we provide throughout their lives to grow up to be great adults.

Thank you, Andrea--I love your testimony of the Lord's faithfulness! It made me cry! (in a good way!) It is so great that you and Tom made (and still make) choices that honored the Lord and TRUSTED Him even when you were not sure how things would work out--but you knew it was the right thing/s to do--and then, of course, the Lord provided. I am so thankful you shared this and encouraged my heart and and I am sure the hearts of many others! You are such a blessing, Andrea. One of my dear friends was over for coffee the other day and I told her about all your tinctures and showed her your channel and a snip from your video where you show all your herbs in the pantry! We decided to try to learn more about this and make tictures together! I just told another friend about you today and told her that she would love you! The Lord has given you such a sweet and peaceful countenance. Thanks for your ministry of blessing and encouragement through your channel! a sister in Christ, Liz in Lancaster County, PA

years ago when we went to visit relatives far away we found it cheaper as we had to have 2 rooms that we found a place to stay that had a buffet for breakfast. We figured that way the kids ate well and could pick what they wanted got juice, milk and were filled up we would of been a good amount at a restaurant for food. Thank you for your insight. My daughter watches as well she wants a large family one day.

Andrea, I love you videos! I'm a mama to 6. We are told often we can't raise a family on the amount of money my DH makes, but we do! The Lord gives us just enough :) Blessings! Katie

Your house looks nice, your children look happy and you are super organized, so I don't understand why people would bother you about your home? It.s your life to live, not theirs. : ) I enjoy your videos. : )

God bless you for sharing. I especially love that you shared the story that Tom listens to The Holy Spirit lead him to not charge some people full price, etc. My family has been blessed by amsimilar man who works on my Mom's computer. He always only charges her very little or nothing. She has macular degeneration, is disabled and 82. She is barely able to see the computer screen, but she uses it to access reading materials for the blind in our state of Texas. If he didn't keep her computer going with Windows XP she couldn't get her audio book files to listen to. God blesses those who bless others. You have blessed me in your videos. 🙏
