I think what sets your videos apart from the majority of others is how you explain stuff with interesting little "fun facts" and how you put in little jokes here and there to keep the viewers' attention in check; it's almost like live interaction, not for a second did I feel that I was watching a recorded video. Thank you sir, please keep up the good work!

I'm SO glad you like talking to yourself and making videos about anatomy! It's helped me get through my last semester of A&P without access to my campus lab (thanks COVID19). Wish all my professors were as engaging...but maybe I'm biased because I love the outdoors/running/climbing, too. Please keep the videos coming!

Very informative video done with a great presentation style. I have just returned home after being hospitalised with acute abdominal pain and a subsequent diagnosis of Sigmoid diverticulitus. This video is a fantastic way for me to understand the anatomy and workings of the Large intestine.

Thank you for your videos on anatomy. I have found them very helpful. I don't know about you but I can't help but marvel at how creatively designed our bodies are! Someone must have designed it! I believe the person who created it is brilliant! Must be. Therefore there are no spare parts. The appendix is a warning bell. It tells you when the body has become too toxic. It becoming inflamed is a blessing, meant to help us.

n I have an ileostomy. My large intestine was removed and my small intestine protrudes through my abdomen. I poo uncontrollably into a bag, which i change each day... at which point i get to say hello to my small intestine (stoma)... it resembles a bit of arctic red salmon sushi poking out my stomach. It wriggles around lots, like it has a mind and personality of its own... its a cool fact that your digestive system has more neurones than the brain. Because i lost my large intestine, I struggle to absorb water and salt... although my small intestine has adapted over time to absorb more water than a normal person. How did i get here? I had ulcerative colitis which got so bad i almost died from toxic megacolon. How did it get this bad? Through misdiagnosis and ignoring worsening symptoms until it was too late... i thank every day that I am alive, and have come to embrace life with a stoma... but if you are reading this, i encourage you to find out about crones and colitis and educate others about these all too common illnesses.

I work in an office doing medical billing, and sometimes it is dead silent. It is so quiet you could hear everyone breathing. When there is no conversating going on or music playing, you could hear my large intestine contracting abnormally loud while absorbing water and moving ...digested food... Probiotics has helped quiet the noise, but you could still hear some activity up in there. It isn't painful, it's just distracting to myself and others, but I seem to be the only one with this issue. Nobody else I know has gone through something like this.

Why do we have appendix?
@SamWebster
@SamWebster 5 жыл бұрын
It seems to be a place that gut bacteria can survive after gastrointestinal illness with diarrhoea. The gut flora can be restored faster after illness if you have an appendix.
