I’ve been looking for an explanation for years and I’ve finally found it. Thank you Dr. Tierney. I have IBS. FODMAP helps but makes eating in restaurants close to impossible. There goes traveling and going out with friends. I’m looking for a treatment that doesn’t adversely effect my quality of life. Now I can discuss options with my gastroenterologist.

I would say fructose and sugars are the real culprits. Self diagnoses here. All the symptoms of ibs, 50m. High sugar diet most of my life, forced to change my way of eating. Stuff gave me very bad gas. The past two months, I've been taking probiotics and have drastically reduced these symptoms.
