Large mining operation near Fairbanks, Alaska, 1950s

Scenes from the 1950s show large scale gold mining operations during the summer in Interior Alaska, near Fairbanks. Men drive thaw points and work hydraulic giants to remove vast quantities of overburden, while a large dredge works the paydirt (Color/Silent/16mm film).
