Another great tutorial, thanks, Some work places do not allow the dogs (cee's) and wedges to be placed inside of the pipe as they consider it a confined space, so the dogs and wedges are placed on the outside of the pipe, also when the cee's are removed the tacks a ground back to be smooth with the pipe and usually a NDT such as Magnetic Particle is used to ensure the tacks did not leave a defect.

Dear Andrew, sometimes, I cannot provide all the details, because, I am trying to provide maximum knowledge in shorter videos. Anyway, your views are helpful for me and the viewers. Hope you will share a comment on my other videos also, so that, I can improve my upcoming videos. Thank you.

Can u pls explain about Bends and it's types 5D bend and 3 D bend
@technicalstudies.2 жыл бұрын
Sure Bro, Thank you for the suggestion.
@andrewmckeown67212 жыл бұрын
HI Jubin Regarding bend radiuses such as you mention, 5D or 3D this is the centerline radius of a bend and is based on the diameter of the pipe. Example for a 5D bend in a 3" diameter pipe, 3 inch pipe x 5 = 15 inch centerline radius, or for a 3D bend in a 8" pipe. 8 inch pipe x 3 = 24 inch centerline radius. To obtain the nearest metric equivalent multiply x 25.4, so a 24inch centerline radius x 25.4 = 609.6mm and the answer is usually scaled up or down to the nearest 5mm so in this case would be 610mm. Standard purchased pipe elbows are 1.5D and short radius elbows are 1D

Can you tell me addtionally that how many meters is distance between two rolls ? how many degrees is Angle between two lines but they are created by connecting center of pipe to contacted points of pipe and rolls
@technicalstudies.2 жыл бұрын
Hai Bro. Thank you for the excellent questions. distance between 2 sets of rollers along the pipe is 1/4 length of the pipe from the end of the pipe. 2/4 of the pipe length will sit on the rollers. suppose the length of the pipe is 6 meters. 1st roller will come 1.5 meters away from one end of the pipe, and 1.5 m from the other end. 3m length of pipe will sit on the rollers. The distance between the two wheels of a set of rollers shall be equal to or less than the RADIUS of the pipe. suppose the diameter of the pipe is 1200 mm, then the distance between the two wheels shall be 600mm or less. Hope you understand my explanation. Thank you. If you have any disagreement, please comment.

@@technicalstudies. thank you for your suggestion. i would like you to tell me about fabricating complex structure as column, girder, beam so on...assembly combination as product of power plant( casing, duct, stack). Addtionally, you could to tell me about straightening by heat and hydraulic jack and method performes them. You can give your email address to send you some picture and desire you to make videos for fabricating them. Thank you very very much!
